  1. One great feature I would like to see in Poweramp would be the possibility to show the group in which each track belongs to. As an example, the MusicBee application for Windows allows tracks to be put into groups, based on the CONTENTGROUP tag in the metadata. As for now, Poweramp completely ignores this tag. Example for one of my albums where tracks 1 to 4 have the "Cello Concerto (2021 Revision)" group and tracks 5 to 7 have the "Three Pieces from Schindler's List" group: The streaming service Qobuz has a similar feature (here https://www.qobuz.com/us-en/album/a-gathering-of-friends-john-williams-yo-yo-ma-new-york-philharmonic/af72fsapf143b):
  2. Hello, very minor bug but I thought it was apropriate to point it out: In my music library, I don't embed my cover arts inside my FLACs files, I instead put a single folder.jpg file inside the album folder to save some space. For some albums, there can be multiple cover arts, depending on the disc number for example. In this case, my folder structure looks like this: <Album Name> <Disc 1> 1-01 ... .flac ... folder.jpg <Disc 2> 2-01 ... .flac ... folder.jpg This folder allows Poweramp to properly associate the first cover art with all the Disc 1 files and the second cover art with all the Disc 2 files. Example with one of my albums: Sabrina (Expanded Original Soundtrack) Expanded Original Soundtrack 1-01 Theme from Sabrina (Extended Version).flac ... folder.jpg Party In The Moonlight - Songs Of Sabrina 2-01 Moonlight - Performed By Sting.flac ... folder.jpg However, the chosen cover art for the whole album (both discs included) cannot be predicted: Poweramp seems to choose randomly one of the available cover arts to display in the "Albums view". Example with the same album, the cover art from disc 2 is chosen to represent the album: Is this behaviour intended? I would expect Poweramp to choose the first cover art based on the disc number/track number like other music players (e.g. MusicBee) do, in this case the from Disc 1. Some useful information: - Poweramp build number: build-957-bundle-play - Device model: Samsung Galaxy S10+ - Android version: Android 12
  3. @maxmp Has the bug been fixed in build-950? The problem seems to be gone here
  4. Thanks for your answer! Glad you've managed to reproduce it, hopefully you find a way to fix it
  5. Hi, I have noticed a weird behaviour after enabling the "Use 24-bit RGB" album arts: some covers get blurry, which should not happen. Here are two screenshots, before and after enabling the option: I tried to delete the cache after enabling the option but it didn't change anything. I'm attaching the original image file I use for the album (it is located inside the album folder and named as "folder.jpg"). Some useful information: - Poweramp build number: build-949-bundle-play - Device model: Samsung Galaxy S10+ - Android version: Android 12 folder.zip
  6. It's working a lot better with this build, yes!! No audible glitches anymore Thanks!! Comparing the waveforms shows there are still minor differences between the two tracks combined and what Poweramp plays. I guess those come from the "smoothing" feature you were referring to. Out of curiosity, what's the point of such a feature when playing 100% gapless FLAC files?
  7. Unfortunately, switching to SoX didn't change anything for me. I guess it makes sense since I'm using the Samsung Hi-Res output directly at 44.1kHz, without resampling! Changing the sample rate to 48KHz and using the SoX resampler did not solve the issue either
  8. Files sent! This inter-track gapless smoothing feature could be the cause! Is there a way to disable it? Thanks
  9. I made sure to set "Preload Gapless Tracks" to the maximum value to be sure that wasn't a slow SD problem but the problem still occured. As you can see on the waveforms, silence doesn't seem to be "inserted" but actually "erased" over the very beginning of the next track. Let me know if you want the FLACs files, I believe this is easily reproducible, it happens everytime on my phone. Thank you!
  10. Additional useful information: Poweramp build number: build-930-bundle-play Device model: Samsung Galaxy S10+ Android version: Android 12
  11. Today, I noticed a really small but audible artifact/glitch during the transition between two tracks that are supposed to be played gaplessly. This glitch happens every single time I play those tracks, which means it is easily reproductible. Both tracks are in 16-bit 44.1kHz FLAC format and are perfectly gapless when playing on other music players. My settings should allow gapless playback without issues, I made sure to disable any resampling, fading and even equalizer, to be sure I have the "cleanest", most "direct" output: I even increased the "Preload Gapless Tracks" option, to be the largest value but the same glitch happens. To understand the issue, I recorded the Poweramp output using Audacity and compared it to the original files, here is the result (top is the recording from Poweramp output, bottom is the original tracks combined): The tracks I played are "Klaus I Love You" and "Outro" from M83's album titled "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming", I can provide my FLAC files if needed. Do you think this is an additional setting to set or a bug inherent to Poweramp?
