I want Poweramp to change the Previous/Next Track buttons for my car, but not to change them for any other devices. I have seen different music apps where you could change how the app functioned with different Bluetooth connections (for example, it would auto-start when you connected a speaker, but not auto-start when you connected your headset). Is this something Poweramp has, and if not, can it gain this feature? Thank you!

I got the new car and PA sends the album art over no problem. I feel silly for posting this. I do not know why it did not send to my rental but it's not an issue anymore.

I am getting a new car tomorrow. I began tagging my music over a decade ago in preparation for a car with a screen that can display it. I was going to buy a head unit for my old car, then I had my old car for a decade, and after it got crashed into I had my rental car - which is where I realized Poweramp cannot yet send album art over bluetooth. But so many other things can! There has to be a way to do it. My new car has a big album art area and I don't want it to be blank when I'm playing music. I also don't want to have to find a new music player, but I've been waiting over a decade to just have the album art on my car dash while driving. Is there anything we can do or a place we can ask, something to unlock the secret of how to send album art over Bluetooth? When I get my car I'll do lots of tests with it. This is something I really want. I am trying to manifest it by speaking it into existence.

I am driving a rental car right now and with a more modern bluetooth-enabled screen I am quite surprised at what apps send information to the screen and which ones do not. I believe it's not a difficult feature to enable, maybe esoteric. Twitch sends a display image over! It's gotta be tied to what the Media Notification display image is. Poweramp already has a display image for the Media Notification. I want to raise some awareness for this so by the time I get another car with a screen like this it's working. I'll help any way I can.

This is not a discussion about Apple Carplay or Android Auto. I have been using Poweramp for a decade or so now. I know during that decade of use that Poweramp did transfer album covers over Bluetooth. I know a lot has changed since then, and currently I cannot get album art to appear on my car display over Bluetooth. I have tried the different AVRCP and the Settings->Misc "Send Album Art for old API" options. I do see a new option under Settings->Album Art "API Compatibility". I will try this one out. But I am just wondering if anyone has it working and if we can help track this down and get it working again. Especially curious because I'm on Android 14.
