Is your music on your PC? Wouldn't the easiest solution be to just download the art on your computer and save it in the music folder with your songs and name it cover? I assume if it's on your computer, you're using a folder hierarchy... Album Artists/Album/Songs.

This request goes back at least 3 years. It seems like it would be pretty easy to do. Every other music app I use has it. What reason could there be for it not being implemented? So many other things being added, but how many people have asked for some kind of lyric nonsense compared to this. Maybe the developer would like to respond with the reason why he refuses to add this? Curious minds want to know.

Personally I'd like to see the Artist - Album line split. There are three lines of information... Artist, Album and Track. Why do all Android music players insist on merging two of them? The only one I've found that let's you set it up correctly is GMMP.

In the event that I do use PA, will the equalizer in the app and the standalone equalizer conflict with each other? Does the app override the standalone? The standalone is always running in the back ground for when I use GMMP.

I gave this a try and the warning went away. Thanks. The overall volume did increase a bit though. As long as I can control the volume via the phone and not the headphones, I don't mind. The volume switch on the headphones acts a bit wonky sometimes, so I don't like to touch it any more than I have too. Also, I don't use Poweramp very much. I prefer the interface of GMMP, but the equalizer for PA is better. That's why I bought the equalizer.

I already have Poweramp and I've just purchased the equalizer to use with Gonemad Media Player. Normally I use wired headphones at work, and in my car I plug into the headphone jack. This morning I used Bluetooth with my Sennheiser HD1 over the ear headphones. I opened the equalizer and there's an alert about "No DVC for Bluetooth Absolute Volume". Clicking on it brings me to the setting, where it's already enabled. There's a warning about disabling the absolute volume and clicking on it brought me to the setting, which is already disabled (see screenshots). What gives? Any ideas? If it helps at all, I've got an LG V60 ThinQ 5G running Android 11.

I understand that I'm in the 1/2 of 1% of the people who keep a tablet mounted in their car to use as a stereo / GPS. Sure, I could use my phone, but there's no denying that an 8" tablet with a 4:3 aspect ratio is much better. Anyway, I forgot to mention that you can use a split screen in Gonemad. This way you can do all of your navigating on the right side while what you're listening to is displayed on the left. You can set up a gesture where you can just single tap the artwork on the left to bring you back to the folder you're listening to on the right. Or double tap the artwork to play a random album. That's how I have it, at least.

True, but as the original poster mentioned ripping a few dozen CD's and buying music from Google Music, I assumed that Hi Res Flacs probably wouldn't be anything for me to consider.

While this will make me wildly unpopular, I think you'd be better off with Gonemad Media Player Classic. Make sure you get the Classic version as the new Version 3 is terrible, in my opinion anyway. And only those songs. Poweramp is OK, but after I bought it several years ago, it wasn't long before I was looking for an alternative. When I bought Gonemad, I knew I got the perfect player. For me, anyway. Poweramp 3 is a lot better than 2 ever was, but it's still not as good Gonemad Classic.

Yikes. I guess I'm a bit anal about making everything just so. My library is a bit larger, though. 1.58TB as flacs converted to 581GB Q9 OGG Vorbis for mobile. For me, folder browsing is an absolute necessity.

I always resize all of my album cover art to 500x500, whether it was originally 600x600 or 3000x3000. And don't embed your art into every file. That's a massive waste of space. Just put it in the same folder as your songs and name it "cover" (without the quotes). Even at that size my "Cover Art" folder (yes I have them all backed up on 2 HDD's) is 456 megs containing 4800 files. Imaging how much space that would be just for artwork if every song had embedded art.

If, as Andre has suggested, the problem is with your tagging, and as long as you have Windows, a great free tagger is MP3Tag. Here's a screenshot of how I have my tags. Note that the "Album Artist" is Various Artists, while the "Artist" is the name of the individual band per song. Also, if you haven't already, add ReplayGain tagging. Foobar 2000 can do that. Look up how. Hope this helps.

Is this a compilation album? Your best bet is to put all of the various artists folders into a main folder called Various Artists and then use folder browsing.
