For the Play build installed from Play only purchase via Play with your Google account is supported due to the Google Play rules.
For the website version any Email can be accepted. No Google services are required on the device for purchase or Premium activation.
You can later install Play version over the website version and vice-versa - the stored on the device license will be recognized.
