      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

Where is it, Max?

Poweramp alpha-build-700

It took 6 months, but we saw nothing but support USB Hi-Res Support. Where is the new version, with a new design, with new features, with support for cloud storage, with support for plug-ins? Where is it, Max?

As I understand it, the next (first beta-test) release will be mainly for an updated UI, then another beta will include some streaming output support (Chromecast, DLNA, etc). That will bring Poweramp v3 to an official release state. Once all of that is done, tested and stable, then Max plans to look at other feature requests.

Given that it's taken the best part of four years' work to get this far (from v2's original release) I don't think the official v3 release is exactly imminent just yet.

Sorry if that's not what you want to hear, just being realistic.

Nah, Android Z for v3 release. Twelve more OS updates in 12 years time, LOL!
