Poweramp v3 - Next Beta Release Planned for April 2018   03/14/2018

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss, but it is currently hoped that the next Beta Test release will be ready for April 2018.

Eternal Scanning Library HTC U Ultra

6 posts in this topic

Hi Poweramp Community!

I have been using Poweramp for years and I have been very happy with it. Recently I switched to a HTC U Ultra and using a 128GB Samsung SD Card (Android 7). When selecting my folder with the music the scanning never stops and I never get to see the contents of the folder, but I do see the songs in my songs "playlist". I have switched to the v3 version and it scans it correctly, but I don't feel very comfortable using an alpha version that's a year old. Is there a fix for my issue?

Also on a side note, is the v3 version ever going to be officially released? Is there any development going on right now?

Kind Regards

Use the v3 release, I've been using it on my daily device two years and it works very well (as long as you don't need third-party skins or some minor features such as scrobbling). The development of the new v3 user interface has been taking the dev a lot longer than he originally predicted, and it's not possible to release interim half-done versions as some parts of the app simply wouldn't work until the interface is fully complete.

Once again, let's blame the phone or Google for the developer not updating our fixing his app for 18 months. I'm glad your his cheerleader on here, but when is the app gonna get fixed?

Erm, where in my post which you quoted did I say that?

And as I also said, a new beta will be released as soon has Max has completely finished work on the new Material Design user interface, and not before. I wish I could give you an ETA, as I'm just as eager as everyone else to try it out, but we'll all just have to wait I'm afraid.
