      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

Newbie...have questions

3 posts in this topic

Hello and forgive my ignorance.  Recently switched to android. I was on iOS for many many years.  I hear great things about Poweramp.  I downloaded the app.  I have about a week left to try.

will this be able to play my Spotify music?

and lastly can the app scan my iMac for music?

and  are there tutorials for these questions?

thanks

TheoKlink is correct. Poweramp is an audio player designed to play music file (MP3, etc) stored on your device, not in the cloud or on other computers across a network. You would need to copy your audio files from your iMac to your phone before Poweramp can play them.
