where is all the skilled android devs at that can make a comparable music app?  99% of the apps in the store are all crap or copies of each other using the stupid android eq.  Surely there's more skilled devs that can make some real decent music apps.  The camera apps aren't much better.   most of them are rip off copies of Open Camera or no better or even worse then stock cameras.  or girly filter cameras.

True that . Get one which suits your listening style is what i was saying.. the guy wants unfiltered audio. So he will be better of with a Sennheiser or Bose rather than a Skullcandy or Beats or SOL

Yes, those are sample photos of the new interface that Max has been working on. They were posted here in this thread a few months ago.

Wait for something big mistake. Max has violated his terms for release many times. Nobody even knows what the status of the project is, not what the beta will be and whether it will ever happen.

I know but he is not guilty. I guess he wants polish every detail, and he is also working on the application without any help.

Buenas tardes, saludos desde Medellín Colombia. He estado al tanto de el foro desde hace un año largo y me he visto en la necesidad de registrarme y dar mi humilde opinión: Poweramp es de lejos el mejor reproductor aún después de casi dos años que tengo la alpha beta. Se que Max está atento a su aplicación ya que muy seguido da respuesta en la aplicación de Poweramp. Entiendo el desespero de la gente del foro pero pienso que Max no ha publicado algo ya que está en juego el prestigio de la aplicación estamos hablando del mejor reproductor de la play store y todas las aplicaciones están pendientes de lo nuevo que saque Poweramp para copiar.  Por eso será que Max no ha publicado la beta ya que todo se filtra.

That's rubbish! You have alpha and beta versions for a reason! To test! He could release those only in the forums and receive feedback.

Most likely he has nothing to deliver.

So either the users use V2 / V3 alpha or use something else, I changed to UAPP. It's a shame that a feature rich app is "dead".

As has been stated (repeatedly) here, as the whole user interface has been ripped apart and started again from scratch, so it's not possible to release a version until all aspects are functioning under the new UI. The old interface is simply not there any more, so any kind of half-and-half release is not possible. Well, I guess Max could release a beta-test of (for example) just the player screen but without something like Library views, song selection, Settings pages, or any of the other elements in the app.

Sadly the UI work has taken far longer than anyone (especially Max, I suspect) anticipated. But as he is the only developer, and PA is entirely his project, we all just have to wait patiently (or not so patiently in some cases) for it to be stable enough for a beta release.

I'm currently alpha testing an audio player app and the dev is delivering unfortunately I can't say more due to NDA. 

Again, it's a shame this app is development is "dead".

The 2 year old version is working properly on my moto g4 plus, no root, android 7.0, except it gets heated to 43 degree only when Poweramp is running and playing songs and not in any other case. I didn't find any fuctional issues in 2 year old version, the GUI is great with aluminium HD skin. I fear, the v3 Poweramp doesn't ruin anything compared to current(old) v2.

I'm the last one to be called impatient, and I'm still not. I'm just a bit surprised that we haven't had a release and  Android P is around the corner.

Hola, creo que comentar en Español en este hilo es cuanto menos un seguro de no obtener respuesta jajaja. 

Yo hablo desde Bucaramanga, Colombia, y al igual que tú, he estado pendiente de este hilo y de esta app por años, no sabría decir si es el mejor reproductor ( el mejor en qué?) pero fue al que más me ajusté; Neutron me parece increíblemente complicado de usar, PlayerPro por algún motivo empezó a no mostrarme los covers de ningún archivo, y de resto, me parecen muy básicos o no los he probado (se aceptan sugerencias de reproductores / I would love some advice about music players).

Pero estoy del lado de los que creen que ha pasado demasiado tiempo; casi 2 años para diseñar una app desde cero es mucho, ahora ni hablar de "sólo" rediseñar su interfaz; el desarrollador ha dado plazos muchas veces, y no los ha cumplido, es poco o nada lo que se aparece en este foro y por eso es poco o nada lo que se sabe de la V3, y no puede/quiere dar ni siquiera una Alpha de la app, alegando que es que quiere que la app salga al mercado sin errores, siendo que de las versiones que no son release se espera eso, errores.

Y usar la V2 no funciona del todo bien, al menos en mi caso: Por decir 2 cosas, las notificaciones ni el control en la pantalla de bloqueo me funcionan y perdí la opción Hi Res.

Si Max diese la excusa que das para no sacar una beta/alpha al aire, sería algo inadmisible, por no decir rídiculo; muchas otras apps importantes tienen betas, alphas, etc, y no dan esa excusa.

El desespero es por razones obvias, hace ya casi 2 años que no hay ni siquiera una actualización de la app teniendo como excusa entre muchas cosas que si quiere que funcione perfectamente en todos los móviles, que si un imprevisto, que si Material Design (que por cierto, ahora es Angular Material, tendrá que empezar Max desde cero otra vez?) y si bien el usuario andrewilley hace lo que puede como moderador del foro que no está metido en el desarrollo de la app (ósea, probablemente sabe lo mismo que nosotros sobre el desarrollo de la app)  con eso no alcanza; yo no me voy a poner a decir que la V3 en realidad no existe, que si Max abandonó la app, y un largo etc, pero definitivamente ha pasado demasiado tiempo, y no saber prácticamente nada de la V3 no ayuda mucho. 

@andrewilley Quick question: Why Max can´t just update the current Alpha with fixes related to problems within the app in +5.0 Android versions (like fixing the notification and lockscreen problems) and make people happy?... I would love seeing V2/Alpha 704 working flawlessly in +5.0, or better yet, in Oreo.

So would I, but Max apparently does not intend to release an interim alpha build based on 704 solely to fix the Oreo 8.1 issues (or perhaps he does not have the versioning set up to roll the code back two years to the old alpha UI now?).

IMHO the fact that the stable 588 build has the same issues with Oreo 8.1 is more worrying IMHO, as there is nothing for Oreo 8.1 users to safely roll back to. There is an interim fix for the notification issues via someone else's temporary app by the way, see http://forum.powerampapp.com/topic/11033-quick-fix-for-notification-on-android-oreo-81-v120/ .

@andrewilley  Pregunta rápida: ¿Por qué Max no puede simplemente actualizar el Alpha actual con correcciones relacionadas con problemas dentro de la aplicación en versiones de Android +5.0 (como solucionar problemas de notificación y bloqueo de pantalla) y hacer feliz a la gente? ... Me encantaría ver V2 / Alpha 704 funciona perfectamente en +5.0, o mejor aún, en Oreo. 

La verdad tengo instalado Neutron Music Player, Poweramp, BlackPlayer PlayerPro y he usado JetAudio plus y el desaparecido de la tienda Stellio entre otros y mi opinión es  que Poweramp y Neutron estan por encima de los demás reproductores. 

Pienso que a Max no debió prometer para no quedar mal.

The problem with the notification on 8.1 is a bug of Android because on DP1 P notification working but I agreed that needed fix in the player but Max said that before beta he will not bring any fix.

It's impossible because the alpha is only for testing the new audio engine without UI (UI in the alpha is just a shell for testing) and not adapted to get any further updates.

Looks aside (it looks terribly dated, like the app, but that´s another issue), my problems with the lockscreen are somewhat related to the notifications issue (sometimes it refuses to appear, inverted colors, a weird delay with the tags, etc.) but at least it works. 

 

I saw your app (thanks Andre); I´m gonna try it.
