      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Hi normally the number logic is 12345678910... But for me , in the app it's 1 10 234567...
  2. I am using the v3 trial and I previously purchased Poweramp from the webstore a few years back, so my Poweramp purchase is not linked to my google play store. The V3 keeps expiring every couple of weeks and does not allow me to restore the web purchases. I am loosing all my ratings and playlists every two weeks as I have to uninstall and install again and its really annoying.
  3. So, in my audio class, i'm learning that most modern recording is done in 88.2kHz, or 176.4kHz. These are multiples of 44.1kHz, and thus cross-sampling will not occur when exporting to red-book cd format. Even on a 192kHz DAC, cross-sampling still occurs with 44.1, 88.2 and 176.4 files because 192kHz is not in the red-book cd family of sample rates (multiples of 44.1kHz). I'm almost positive that most of the recent DACs (external, and built in) out there are capable of supporting these sample rates.
  4. Bug: Replaygain tags applied by Foobar2000 on Wavpack, both hybrid and full, are being ignored & not detected in Poweramp Poweramp Version: alpha-build-703-play (Full Version) 2.0.10-build-558-play (Full Version) Wavpack Settings Used: Fast Hybrid with and without correction file High x5 Hybrid High x5 3.5bit/sample Audio Sample: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_c2C5tUq8nTMkFsMVo5Q1A0T0U Note: 1khz signal, I believe. It was made by wavpacks creator as a way to test if an app was or was not utilizing correction files. Its just the smallest sample I can share where I've applied replaygain. Screenshots:
  5. Is there any way I can extract one of the builtin visualizers in the alpha as a .milk preset for personal use?
  6. Nice work.It works very well on LG Leon.Sound is clear, but needs more works set up EQ because bass in EQ presets is much more stronger then in v2 V2 settings are much betetr for me.But with a little work sound is very good indeed. My speakers have very strog bass though. Visualisation is not accurate.IIt is a little delayed. For me this is not very important because I always have visualisation turned off. V2 plays all files but V3 does not.It has problems playing all files.Even mp3 files are not all playable. With a little more work it will be the best audio player for android again.
  7. One issue i have identified lately is whenever i push the volume rocker button it takes more time than the stable release like build 588 or so on .
  8. Hi, I´ve noticed that when I have my phone connected to speakers with hifi option enabled, messenger sound notifications act weirdly. When I get a message, the sound starts playing for a few seconds through my phone speakers, then switches back to my active speakers. It does not even play the notification sound, it just redirects the audio for a little while. I do have Lenovo Vibe X3
  9. Version 703/704

Poweramp v3 (ALPHA-3 test builds 703 / 704) for standard (ARM-based) Android devices. Released: 16 April 2016 This is alpha version of upcoming major Poweramp release. Please make backup of your existing Poweramp app/settings/db before installation as you won't be able to rollback to Poweramp v2 without alpha uninstallation, causing settings to be lost. You can install it over your existing v2 installation (your purchase and settings will be carried over). At this time, only ARM processors are supported. We'll add Intel support for later beta builds. Min. supported Android: 4.1. Skins are disabled in alpha as UI is partially changed and there is no point in (re-)building skins now. Alpha-3: - added DVC support for Hi-Res Snapdragon 24-bit PCM variant (e.g. LG Gx/v10, HTC A9, etc.) - Hi-Res support for Sony Z3, Meizu 5 Pro, Lenovo Vibe X3 - Look and Feel / Status Bar/Notification / Notification Colors option to override non-standard ROM notification colors - mp3 vbr seeking improvements - 2 Hi-Res API variants (Sony Hi Res and Snapdragon 24-bit offload) for Sony Z5/P - option to always process/send album art (useful for smartwatches) - bt pause/resume polishing - scrobbling fixes, removed obsolete ScrobbleDroid support - album art downloading update - language selection fix - better current output device detection (wired headset vs bt) - other few small fixes
  10. This might be incredibly stupid and I wouldn't be surprised if it was, but is there any kind of indication of when Poweramp 3 will come out, I keep seeing things about updates such as ratings from tags and better audio features(?) coming in an update. Is this me being incredibly dumb or has this been announced? Forgive my pure stupidity.
