      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Здравствуйте! Не меняет скины. В настройках написано, что недоступно в альфа версии. Хотя я принимал предложение участвовать в бета-тестировании.
  2. Hello. When I apply skins, they have a quite big frame that takes up almost 1/3 of the album art pic. Is there any way to disable these frames? Thank you

  6. Can Poweramp make an overhaul or perhaps roll out a Material design themed skin?
  7. Hello everyone, so I've tried a lot in order to create a simple Poweramp skin and nothing really worked... So I'm asking all of you now: Can anyone provide a noob proof guide for us mortals...? Let's just say I have ant running, java works fine, AndroidSDK is right where it should be and I downloaded the stuff from the Poweramp git repo and unzipped it. Now what? (Or is there any other way?)
  8. Hello Guys, so... I've tried to create a custom theme for Poweramp and kinda failed at that in all ways... So far I got ant running, I got the Android SDK on my hard drive (I use it for normal android development also, and it works fine). I got thorugh the first steps of creating a custom theme from http://forum.powerampapp.com/index.php?/topic/3578-building-skins-quick-start-guide/ , but when I tried to compile it with ant (just the "ant" command) I get following error: Buildfile: E:\CODE\PowerampHoloMD\poweramp_skin_sdk\skin_template\build.xmlBUILD FAILEDE:\CODE\PowerampHoloMD\poweramp_skin_sdk\skin_template\build.xml:90: The following error occurred while executing this line:java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\AndroidSDK (Zugriff verweigert // This means access denied) at java.io.FileInputStream.open0(Native Method) at java.io.FileInputStream.open(Unknown Source) at java.io.FileInputStream.<init>(Unknown Source) at org.apache.tools.ant.helper.ProjectHelper2.parse(ProjectHelper2.java:250) at org.apache.tools.ant.helper.ProjectHelper2.parse(ProjectHelper2.java:168) at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.ImportTask.importResource(ImportTask.java:222) at org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.ImportTask.execute(ImportTask.java:163) at org.apache.tools.ant.UnknownElement.execute(UnknownElement.java:292) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source) at org.apache.tools.ant.dispatch.DispatchUtils.execute(DispatchUtils.java:106) at org.apache.tools.ant.Task.perform(Task.java:348) at org.apache.tools.ant.Target.execute(Target.java:435) at org.apache.tools.ant.helper.ProjectHelper2.parse(ProjectHelper2.java:180) at org.apache.tools.ant.ProjectHelper.configureProject(ProjectHelper.java:93) at org.apache.tools.ant.Main.runBuild(Main.java:826) at org.apache.tools.ant.Main.startAnt(Main.java:235) at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.run(Launcher.java:280) at org.apache.tools.ant.launch.Launcher.main(Launcher.java:109)Total time: 0 secondsso... as far as I understand I don't have the permissions in order to read or use the android SDK. I've tried to copy it to another folder, same result. Tried to set all permissions manually through folder properties, same result. Same with deactivating the antivirus... I'm pretty helpless with that and because of this special use case there are little to no help sources so I thought to post it here even though it's not directly a PA skin problem...
  9. I would like Poweramp notification to be custom or skinnable, as for now on Lollipop it has white buttons on white background. See screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/kcw7atili4pagfg/AADodLEAAXvBF00lN_1Sx4b_a That's why I want it to be skinnable, or just custom, like Play Music notification, which is always white on carbon gray.
  10. Hi, i have the big problem with skins on sony's rom. What i did? - Just download poweramp_skin_sdk from github (last version). Tried to build classic Poweramp skin. (the only modification i did is create src dirs and replace ${build.version} -> ${project.build.version} for prevent compiler issueses).Everything goes fine except one thing - skin crash when i click on the launcher icon. Poweramp skin dialog show text - "Skin update requared". This happends only on sony's rom, on other devices everything fine. *Note: I did read about similar question on this forum. I checked - skin-compat-debug.apk included in build (i just type ant debug in skin_compat folder). Also i found commented strings in skin_lib/res/values/public.xml file (content below) - Do i need to uncomment those lines? <public type="array" name="poweramp_skins" id="0x80050000" /> <public type="array" name="poweramp_skin_names" id="0x80050001" /> <public type="array" name="poweramp_skin_authors" id="0x80050002" />
  11. Hello there, I've switched over to Lollipop on my N5 using the google factory images and found that Poweramp crashes when trying to apply any custom skin. Error extracted from the logcat: external_theme is null, falling back to default theme
  12. Hi there, Over the past weekend I decided I would try to make a Poweramp skin :-) I downloaded the skin-sdk and have my styles defined in myskinname_styles.xml, my colors defined in colors.xml and dimensions defined in dimens.xml I also have skins.xml with definitions about the skin. I have included the necessary <meta-data android:name="com.maxmpz.PowerampSkins" android:value="true"/> in my AndroidManifest.xml so that Poweramp will pick it up as a skin. It compiles and installs to my device without error, but when I open Poweramp to switch to my skin, it is not in the list. Searching through my logcat reveals the following: 01-14 09:25:39.948 434 561 I ActivityManager: Displayed com.maxmpz.audioplayer/.SettingsActivity: +922ms 01-14 09:25:40.148 17232 17232 W ThemePreference: found skin theme=ClassicSkin name=ICS Skin id=-2146828288 app=com.ikorolkov.Poweramp.skins.ics 01-14 09:25:40.158 17232 17232 W ThemePreference: found skin theme=ClassicSkin name=ICS Purple id=-2146828288 app=com.ikorolkov.Poweramp.skins.icsp 01-14 09:25:40.168 17232 17232 W ResourceType: Skipping entry 0x80050000 in package table 0 because it is not complex! 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: Failed to get resources from app=com.nwwebdesign.Poweramp.skins.PurpleSilk 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Array resource ID #0x80050000 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at android.content.res.Resources.obtainTypedArray(Resources.java:490) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at com.maxmpz.audioplayer.preference.ThemePreference.(":97) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at com.maxmpz.audioplayer.preference.ThemePreference.(":78) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at com.maxmpz.audioplayer.preference.ThemePreference.onPrepareDialogBuilder(":240) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at android.preference.DialogPreference.showDialog(DialogPreference.java:295) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at com.maxmpz.audioplayer.preference.ThemePreference.(":334) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at com.maxmpz.audioplayer.preference.$19.run(":798) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at android.os.Handler.handleCallback(Handler.java:615) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:92) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:137) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4931) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:511) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:791) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:558) 01-14 09:25:40.178 17232 17232 E ThemePreference: at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method) 01-14 09:25:40.188 17232 17232 W ThemePreference: found skin theme=ClassicSkin name=Poweramp Holo id=-2147221504 app=com.maxmpz.Poweramp.skins.holo It seems that this is related to resources that are not found, or are of the wrong type, so I searched the generated R.java file for resource ID 0x80050000 (assigned to dimension "coverMarginBottom") which was defined in my dimens.xml file. The value was the same as specified in the reference_resources (resource type should be correct... 184dip). I removed the resource all together and recompiled. When I did this, resource ID 0x80050000 was assigned to the next resource in my dimens.xml file and again caused the same error. 01-14 09:25:40.168 17232 17232 W ResourceType: Skipping entry 0x80050000 in package table 0 because it is not complex! It seems that it does not matter what resource I remove, Poweramp always spits out the above error in my logcat about skipping entry 0x80050000 because it is not complex. Any ideas as to what causes this error in the skinning process? I can't find anything about this error on google except for how to track down the offending value (which was to look in the generated R.java file to find the reference ID of the resource in question). http://thesoftwarero...ge-table-0.html What does it mean "because it is not complex"? Any help would be graciously appreciated :-) Titanic_Fanatic
  13. I'm trying to build classicSkin from git sources. Following the tutorial, I changed data in manifest and strings Tried to build with simple typing ant and it compiles to jar file. But when I try to compile with ant apkpush I got an error: package R does not exist setContentView(R.layout.activity_info); building and cleaning project in Eclipse did not help any suggestions? thanks

  15. Здравствуйте. у меня следующая проблема. некоторые пользователи жалуются на то, что окно с эквалайзером сломано а именно выдает ошибку. Пожалуйста помогите решить эту проблему =\
  16. On Jelly Bean skins that purchased and installed from Google Play does not show up in Poweramp settings. This is probably due to the that paid apps (skins) installed in this way encrypted with a device-specific key before they are delivered to phone, and store in /data/app-asec. Is it any solution to make skins visible in Poweramp?
