      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Hi there!. I'm having this problem since first time i started using the app. I noted that Poweramp adds a few seconds to song duration, depending on song's length. In certain songs adds 10 seconds, in others it adds even 1 minute! My device: Motorola Moto E (1st Gen.) Android 4.4.4 - Kitkat Poweramp 2.0.10-build-581-uni (Full version) I've read some threads talking about this bug, but can't find a solution. Now, i've found that exists a relation between art cover resolution and the seconds that Poweramp adds to that song. I realized this by seeing the amount of seconds that the app adds with a larger resolution art cover and then the amount added after downsizing the art cover resolution in the same MP3 file. After downsize, Poweramp reduces the amount of seconds added to song. I hope this info can help you to find a fix for this annoying problem. Thanks a lot.
  2. .m4a - sound files are shown with wrong duration. A file is shown with duration 19:25, immediately after start of playing it the current time jumps to 9:43 and progress is shown as 50%, updated smoothly from there. The stock player on the other hand displays the duration as 09:42, starting at 00:00. This behaviour has been seen with all files which were created by youtube-dl on linux The origin from youtube-videos may be significant. I have some .mp3 files created by youtube-mp3 online converter (http://www.youtube-mp3.org/)that show another type of duration misinformation, here an example file is shown as 18:13 but runs for 4:30 (there is some whitespace at the end of it). Factor 4 this time and here the progress bar starts at 00:00 and it skipps to the next song at 25%. However, the latter error is only with some .mp3 created that way while others behave as expected.
  3. I like to listen to the music based on album/playlist duration. Today I have downloaded trial from Market, but I couldn`t find this feature. Has it been added? (its been over a year since first post in this thread -> )
