      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. volume buttons on any mobile I use doesn't work even using Poweramp. please help. what settings do I need to change? thanks so much.
  2. Buttonso will not work when contacted to fiio e17 dac, any ideas?
  3. Please add rewind-forward functionality for long-pressed previous/next buttons. I'm using DIY bluetooth media remote control on my bicycle, it does have 5 buttons, which I use as play/vol-/vol+/prev/next. I wish I could rewind and forward tracks by holding prev/next buttons.
  4. Hello, Since the last build, the volume buttons are acting weirdly. When the phone is not idle, changing volume takes up to one second before taking effect (e.g. switching from 0% volume to the first step takes some time to Poweramp to actually change the music volume, even using the in-app controls). I tried tweaking the volume steps from 30 steps to the original number, and other options but it does nothing. Other music players and games don't have this issue. When the phone is idle (black screen), pressing volume buttons doesn't change the volume, but longpress also doesn't skip/replay the current track. It's kinda annoying. I tried on the music player from Google and it didn't have this issue. I'm using an OnePlus One under stock CM ROM (12.1.1). And as I said, the controls were working perfectly under the previous v3 build. I didn't see any other post with this issue, so I tried to reinstall the app but nothing changed.

Poweramp v3 (ALPHA-3 test builds 703 / 704) for standard (ARM-based) Android devices. Released: 16 April 2016 This is alpha version of upcoming major Poweramp release. Please make backup of your existing Poweramp app/settings/db before installation as you won't be able to rollback to Poweramp v2 without alpha uninstallation, causing settings to be lost. You can install it over your existing v2 installation (your purchase and settings will be carried over). At this time, only ARM processors are supported. We'll add Intel support for later beta builds. Min. supported Android: 4.1. Skins are disabled in alpha as UI is partially changed and there is no point in (re-)building skins now. Alpha-3: - added DVC support for Hi-Res Snapdragon 24-bit PCM variant (e.g. LG Gx/v10, HTC A9, etc.) - Hi-Res support for Sony Z3, Meizu 5 Pro, Lenovo Vibe X3 - Look and Feel / Status Bar/Notification / Notification Colors option to override non-standard ROM notification colors - mp3 vbr seeking improvements - 2 Hi-Res API variants (Sony Hi Res and Snapdragon 24-bit offload) for Sony Z5/P - option to always process/send album art (useful for smartwatches) - bt pause/resume polishing - scrobbling fixes, removed obsolete ScrobbleDroid support - album art downloading update - language selection fix - better current output device detection (wired headset vs bt) - other few small fixes
  6. I use more than one application that has "control headset buttons" switch in settings. Would be great if I can easily switch that setting with some shortcut or widget (can be integrated in the existing one or can be separate). So I don't have to have application turned on, go to settings, headset/bluetooth settings and then check what I need.
  7. I would like the ability to create a widget with extremely large buttons for use on my Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 while playing music in the car. I do not have Bluetooth control (I use headphone out into an aux in), but do have a dashboard mount to keep the phone in a usable physical location. The current widgets next/previous buttons are much, much too small to safely pick while driving, and they're too close to each other. I could then dedicate an entire dashboard screen to just having the ginormous buttons with PREV / PLAY / NEXT but no scrubbers so the buttons can be well spaced apart and easy to pick on the screen. It would still be helpful to have access to the List button, and display song title and meta, but album art would be unnecessary, etc. Thanks.
  8. Show player buttons (play/pause, last, next) across the bottom of song, artist and playlists screens.
  9. For explanation 4PDA forum: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=194117&view=findpost&p=20920377 MaxMP and Poweramp users, what do you say? I think would be a handy feature.
  10. Hi guys and thank u so much for this app. In next release i want to see the option that will be turn on "Next/Previous track buttons" ONLY for forward/rewind current track even if i press it once when "song Change Gestures"(and/or "list change gestures") is enabled. And sorry for my English:) added: and maybe feature that will be remember current track position when i change current track to the next (only when song length is more than 15min for example(sets))
  11. Is it possible to add control buttons in the notificatinbar when Poweramp is playing a song? This way it would be a lot easier to skip or pauze songs when another app is running in the foreground. (So you don't need to close the app first, to return to pAMP)
  12. Hi, I'm quite satisfied with using Poweramp, but I think there's quite big issue on lockscreen. It's possible to disable lockscreen gestures, what is good feature, but not as important as disabling some lockscreen buttons - it isn't too probable to do swipe gesture accidentally, however some button is pressed quite often by mistake, when carrying phone in pocket. And hardly anything can disappoint me as much, as skipped track, or, even more, whole skipped list.
  13. Hi, Long time Poweramp user, first time poster! I love this app, i even delete the stock music player from my rom. I have a small problem with my phone where, if the headphones are connected to the jack and 'respond to headset buttons' is selected, it will randomly change the track as if it thinks there is a button pushed, but my headphones have no buttons. I need to have 'respond to headset buttons' selected for when i use my SE MW600 BT headset instead of the jack. My suggestion is to have 'respond to headset buttons' AND 'respond to A2DP buttons' options if this is possible. Another is to be able to choose to wipe album art for an individual album and re-download if the art is wrong and maybe to choose from a list of the graphics to ensure the correct one. Last one is to have an auto-rescan feature which the user can select when, eg. every start, daily, weekly, monthly. Apologies if these are already implemented! Keep up the good work Max Dan.
