      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Hi there, it would be great to have an auto-export Poweramp Playlists feature, for example once a day. With this it would be possible to backup Playlists every day to the SD-Card or a NAS. Greats from Germany, Michael
  2. Hi, I was wondering why doesn't max upgrade the backup button? Like putting a separate page for it with different sections for different parts of the app which includes check buttons labelled as "Eq & tones", "Reverbs", "Playlists" with the option to export it as a file etc., "Look and feel", "Audio" and other sections available at the setting page. I think one basic "Backup setting" button is just not enough. Please look through this.
  3. Lets get serious here folks. Virtually every credible Android app has a backup and restore solution, either using the Google account, an app-specific online account or save/restore to a local SD card. Poweramp does not. After spending months tagging ratings on songs, updating album art in some cases, dialing in equalizer settings, didding the many many settings within the app, don't even think about resetting the device to factory default or replacing it. All your personalizations are gone. (I don't use Titanium backup - I don't root my phone.) So either don't bother with using ratings or loading album art since all of your work is throwaway. Typically you don't get to find that out until you try to restore your device, then it’s a slap in the face. Now, on the hand, the developers could chose to solve the problem that they claim is difficult. I've developed enough software over the years to truly believe that a robust solution could be made. Perhaps its just priorities. I think it’s a basic, fundamental feature that every credible app should have. This is a serious gap.
  4. Hi, I am sending my phone to manufacturer for reformatting it. I am also changing my memory card(which currently has all the songs) and switching to a different memory card. How can I backup all the album art for all these songs? Also, is there any way to backup Poweramp cache? Thanks
  5. Hello, I wonder if it is possible to add an option to save/load general settings of Poweramp to/from sdcard ( lockscreen/playlists/ headset settings/etc)(like go launcher ex for example) ? It would be usefull for me (and others i think) because i like to test custom roms until i find one that i like and it's a pain to do all the settings again and again:( (sry for my bad english).
  6. Please add the ability to backup/restore (or export/import) custom EQ presets and preset assignments. Simple would be enough, but a sophisticated version of this would include ability to restore preset assignments to identical media library in which root path of library has changed (but subfolders beyond that have not changed)- for instance this would be useful with upgrade of phone OS, migration to new phone, or move of library to a new external SD card).
