      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Aww that's to bad... Make sure you deleted album art cache after switching off Downloader. Also, when a song is playing on PA, on the Player screen check which album art is selected for that particular song by PA. Some other pic, like in-folder image or a PA downloaded art might have been selected, even if you had embedded the album art. (Don't forget Clear Cache and Force Stop in Settings➡App Manager➡PA)
  2. 1) I've been seeing this problem with many users. Don't know why it's happening. After exporting the settings file and moving it to my Micro SD card, I'd factory reset my Galaxy J7 (which I've done PLENTY of times) and then move back the file to the PA folder after redownloading it. The settings would be restored after importing them. 2) I also have the lyrics problem. The Musixmatch plug-in isn't working. But I used Musicbee on the PC to attach lyrics to some of my songs and was able to view them on Poweramp. Took a while but I'm pretty sure there are Android apps for this purpose too. 3) Yeah this kinda annoying. I just do "Delete album art cache" (and sometimes clear cache and force stop in App Manager). It usually shows the correct album art after this. I also don't use the PA art downloader cuz I prefer embedded album covers. Sometimes I download album covers using PA and then embed the pics with Musixmatch. Hope the long awaited update fixes all this. These are just my experiences, hope they help!
  3. 1. Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) 2. Android 6.0.1 (Stock rom). 3. Hi-Res works good with wired headphones and speakers. But it sound weird when using Bluetooth. Is it because it's wireless? Is this natural? audio_policy.conf
  4. Oh sorry! I don't know the terminology too well. I'm basically using the latest version. But never mind. I'll just wait for v3 ( hope I got that right). Thanks anyway!! 😊
  5. The Poweramp lockscreen feature isn't working for me. It's enabled but doesn't show up on the lockscreen. It worked on the beta version but not alpha. I'm still using alpha for hi-res audio but I hope this can be solved. I have a Samsung Galaxy J7 2015 (SM-J700F) with Android 6.0.1.
  6. 1. Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) 2. Android 6.0.1 (Stock ROM) 3. It works for wired headphones/headsets. Haven't tried with USB DAC. Very unclear music with Bluetooth headphones and speaker. I've shared the audio_policy.conf file, though I don't know what it means ?. audio_policy.conf
  7. I recently updated Poweramp after becoming a beta tester on Google Play Store. I realized that the Poweramp lock screen isn't showing anymore. It worked until I got the Alpha version. It's really helpful while listening to music but I don't know how to fix it. Please help! Phone: Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) Android version: 6.0.1 Processor: 1.5GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7580
  8. I just can't wait for the v3 update. And the increased EQ bands in v4 is something I've always wanted!
  9. I tried that already. The music just becomes more unclear.
  10. I'm a heavy user of the Poweramp EQ. I don't know much about advanced music players, but I realised that it didn't have a Surround sound/ 3D Sound button or knob. Even Google Play Music has that option. It gives a realistic effect to the music, so I hope you can add this option. Thx in advance!
