      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Title ^^, latest Poweramp v3 apk (704)
  2. Andrewilley, can you please tell MaxMP to come here and inform us about the development of v3, how is it going, or he can just post a screenshot, anything so that I don’t feel like a complete idiot for checking this forum once a week ?? That would be a real nice thing to do.
  3. Give us some screenshot of the development version, something to see how it's going, anything. Why are you so quiet and secretive about this Max ?
  4. It was a mistake to come here and check if something's new. Wake me up when September ends
  5. Tnx for the update boss, I guess the shaman song from the last page helped if everything works (except few phones)
  6. If I select the highest sample rate in Hi-res (192 khz), the delay is smaller, but just that, there is still a delay. Also, I lose HTC Dolby audio boomsound this way. I hope Max makes Hi-Res output working on the HTC 10 in his next beta build. In this current state, Hi-res is unusable
  7. try and download the latest 704 build
  8. Report on the Hi-res output, build 704, HTC 10 (7.0 stock Nougat rom) - When using the Hi-Res output with wired headset, I noticed that when I click "Info", I have around 5000-6000ms latency (delay), there is a huge delay between any changes in volume and the actual response of the player - more than 5 seconds. Same goes for turning Equalizer on and off etc.. - The seconds are unsynced in the "Playing now bar". - Also, when the sample rate is higher than 48 khz in Hi-Res output, "HTC Boomsound with Dolby audio" does not work (it only works with 44.1 and 48 khz) - The output crashes ocassionally as well, but that is a well known bug by now.

  10. 1. HTC 10 2. Android 7.0 Nougat 3. Before the Nougat update, Hi-Res output somewhat worked, after updating it disappeared.
  11. It doesnt work on all phones, which phone do you have ? The hi res output is in Audio --> Outputs and there you enable hi res for wired headset.
  12. So I do get 24 bit after all, great. thanks
  13. On HTC 10, while using Hi-Res output 24bit/48khz, when I play a Mp3 that is 16 bit/48khz (I have a lot of these), will Poweramp still upsample it to 24 bit ? Or should I maybe put Hi-res output sample rate to 92khz?
