      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Hi, I have a Nexus 7 (Stock Rom) and have it mounted in the car to a Samsung USB 1TB M3 Hard Disk. I have tried various different USB Hard disks and this problem exists on all of them and I am using the full paid version of Poweramp When I go into library mode I have thousands of "Unknown Songs" / "Unknown Artist" etc etc (Basically no ID3 Information at all) Not all songs are displayed like this as I also have thousands that are scanned correctly If I then select one of these songs they play perfectly and Poweramp displays all the id3 information and album art as you would expect. If I do the same but from internal memory Poweramp does not have the "Unknown Artist" etc issue so I do realize that this is all due to the fact that I am playing from a USB Hard Disk If I do a full rescan alot of the songs that were not recognized the first time are now fine, but obviously with a large collection (30,000) tracks it is hard to tell if some that were ok before are then suddenly not. I presume that this is due to some kind of scan speed? as in not able to get the information from the hard disk quick enough? I really wouldn't normally be bothered by this if it were not for the problem that I cannot use Poweramp's search facility because so many songs are only known as "Unknown" Is there anyone else with the same issue or can any advice be given please? Many Thanks
  2. Grrr,.. it's taking 1+ hours for Poweramp to rescan my usb disk on my Nexus 7 3G every time I start it, by that time I am at my destination :-(
  3. No response from the Devs since June :-( Not looking good then!
  4. + 9999999999999999999999
  5. I guess the silence speaks volumes :-(
  6. Anyone know why the devs never reply to these requests? I have been following this one and another thread on Google music but we never get any response?? I mean...we have paid for this software surely some kind of response is deserved?
  7. Me too
  8. Even after a reboot of the Transformer?
  9. Is this going to be progressed at all? This is a dealbreaker for me... :-(
  10. Me too :-)
  11. What I would basically need is to be able to connect to the Goflex Wireless Drive via wifi & still be able to access the internet on the 3G
  12. Hi, What device was that on? I even found some apps that TRIED to enable both 3G & Wifi at the same time but they didn't work :-( I last tried on my HTC Desire HD, Then HTC OneX, but now have a Samsung Galaxy S3 so will try that later :-)
  13. Hi, I have spent way too much money trying to take my media library around with me (approx 160GB) specifically! for Poweramp as I spend often weeks away from home with work, here is a list of what I have done so far & I really think that what I am trying to do is impossible unless I have either missed something out or am not clever enough! I am going to buy a Nexus 7 32GB 3G soon & thought I would be able to stream my music using google music but realise that there is a 20,000 limit to this and also Poweramp cannot stream from there anyway! So I thought I would plug in a Mini 128GB USB Combined with the on-board 32GB only to realize I wouldn't be able to charge the device at the same time! 1, Bought an Archos 80 250GB as I thought this would be the answer to all my problems but it is only compatible with Gonemad Music Player or the standard Archos player which is completely featureless and boring. Unfortunately the Archos continuously skips & stutters when using Poweramp 2, Bought a 256GB SSD Samsung 7mm drive for the Archos, although quite an improvement on the skipping it is still very much there.... 3, Bought a GoFlex Wireless drive but didn't realize I could not have 3G & Wireless on at the same time so lose internet connection, so another brick wall! Thought about a Bluetooth Hard Drive but they don't seem to exist lol.... So if anyone can offer any thoughts I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it! Thanks for reading....
