      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. As the title implies, I cannot get Poweramp 2.0.10 build 571 to show any lockscreen on my Nexus 6 running 5.01 Lollipop. I have tried every combination: Swipe, Pattern, PIN, Android Lockscreen enabled/disabled, Poweramp Lockscreen enabled/disabled, direct unlock enabled/disabled, all notifications shown when device is locked, etc. Regardless of configuration, when Poweramp is playing and screen is locked I get the normal Android lockscreen (clock, notifications, etc.), with Poweramp Now Playing notification with controls, and I do see album art background. I get no Android lockscreen with music control or Poweramp Lockscreen. I believe this to be an app specific issue with Poweramp, as lockscreen options with GoneMAD music player function fine. I have tried clearing cache, clearing data, uninstall and reinstall. Nothing. I am using Nova Launcher, but I don't believe that is relevant. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the tip TheoKlink. That works great for playing artists, but unfortunately it seems I will need to figure out the ID # to be able to play specific albums and playlists. Reading your post, I see you weren't successful in finding it either, but hopefully someone else here (possibly a moderator or maxmp) can give some insight on that issue.
  3. I'm looking for some help using Tasker to send intents to Poweramp. I'm very comfortable on the Tasker side of things, it's the terminology used in Poweramp's API I'm having trouble with. I've read the Poweramp forums about the API but I'm having trouble finding the proper commands. I'm trying to get Tasker to play specific albums, playlists, or artists. I was using ActionBox to perform this, but it seems ActionBox doesn't work well since upgrading to 5.0 Lollipop. I was never really happy with ActionBox anyway and would like to explore using the API commands instead. From what I understand, Poweramp uses ID #'s for albums, playlists, and artists, but I'm can't seem to find the corresponding ID # for anything. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Poweramp 2.0.10 Build 570 HTC One M7 GPE Lollipop 5.01 Stock Rom I recently updated to Lollipop 5.01 and I am having many issues with Poweramp. Resume on Bluetooth only works after fresh boot, after pause or disconnect, does not resume automatically and doesn't respond to any bluetooth buttons (play, ffwd, rewind). Widget also doesn't respond to button press, have to open app to have buttons respond. Widget seems to "lock up" all homescreen button presses. Play notification remains persistent even after opening app and pressing pause. Reboot required to remove notification. Tried uninstalling app, reinstalling, with and without deleting all data. Used Build 570 on KitKat 4.4.4 with no issue, so problem definitely seems to be related to Lollipop 5.01. App is paid version from Play store in both cases. Will post Catlog tomorrow after reproducing issue.
