      Poweramp v3 Project Update   03/22/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It's not quite ready for open testing yet, and although he would like to be able to get it out by the end of the March it may just drop over into April. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

No shut off!

There should be a simple, or at least a difficult, way to shut it down!

Used to have to restart the phone, now even that doesnt work. Task killers dont work either.

The program randomly starts itself now! May just uninstall it. What a pain!

Poweramp can auto-start based on certain actions (such as inserting the headphones, media button presses, bluetooth connections, etc). However it won't start on its own unless some action triggers it. You can adjust the options in Settings > Headset/Bluetooth to prevent this from happening though. If you are still having problems, try Settings > Misc > Tweaks and untick "Keep Service" which will unload the service which checks for such activity when Poweramp is not running.
