Resdot
Hi, I updated to the Poweramp V3 on my xiaomi mi4c (Miui 7, v5.1) Sound is great and I like the Hi-Res Out. My problem is that when I lock the screen the music starts to crackling sometimes. This only happens when I lock the phone with the Poweramp (Hi-Res Out)running on the background. Somebody know why this is happening and what should I do? Mi4c: snapdragon 808 with miui7 (android 5.1) Thanks in advance.
andrewilley
Try increasing the audio buffer/etc settings for your Output device. Otherwise, it could be your ROM throttling the CPU too much when the device is asleep. Andre
Resdot
hi, thanks you. Finally I found the wakelock option that looks like solve the problem. I also increased the buffer. Performance has improved but still there is a little crackling sound. Only one more question, as Poweramp is my principal music player I uninstalled music.fx app in my android. This also could be possible a source of problems? I understand that musicfx is a driver from android but Poweramp use its own driver for the sound chip. Is this correct and there is no problem uninstalling musicfx? sorry if this is a noob question
andrewilley
You can remove MusicFX if you want, but Poweramp should not be using it anyway if you are using high-rez output. Some stock audio controls will still be available if you turn DVC off in Poweramp. Andre
