  1. Hello! I'm trying Poweramp and I've been impressed so far with its functionalities, apart from a little issue that I noticed, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to work this way. I'm using the universal version of Poweramp and connecting an USB Drive to my phone (S23 Ultra, Android 14). My drive is organized in folders containing songs and podcasts episodes, and a few m3u playlists in the root of the drive, so: Drive root Folder 1 Folder 2 (Podcasts folder) Folder 3 playlist1.m3u playlist2.m3u playlist3.m3u If I select the full drive in Poweramp 63 folders, 5 playlists and 1740 tracks are detected Since I don't want to listen to podcasts in Poweramp, I uncheck the Podcasts folder from the library selection (notice that the check next to the drive name is removed as well) and now we have 8 fewer folders (the podcasts ones), around 800 track less than before (podcasts episodes), but 0 playlists! It seems like removing a subfolder from the library scan also ignores anything contained in the drive root, and that only the remaining selected subfolders are taken into account. I would like to scan the whole drive except one folder instead. Is there any way to do that? I hope I explained the problem clearly, and thanks for your support!
  2. Would like to see an option to set like a default action for "Add to Playlist". So like if I were to set the default to Add to End, then whenever I select Insert at Start, it would automatically switch the action back to Add to End for the next time I'm adding to a playlist. It would save me the inconvenience of switching it back after or prevent me from messing up a bunch of playlists if I forgot. Thank you.
  3. Could you relax the matching criteria even further to ignore the format as last resort? My use case is as follows: On PC I use foobar2000 to mange my music. I lot of it is in FLAC format, which is fine while on PC. On mobile I have been using foobar2000's mobile version up until now. It has some limitations but one very key feature (for me) is: fpl-playlists (the foobar playlist format) work on mobile even if I'm not playing the same file. I don't copy the FLAC's to mobile but I converted most of it to opus. But the fpl-format and the mobile version still manages to play the song even if the location and format changed. I think the same can be achieved when I export the playlist as m3u8-files. It partially works but as expected the FLAC-files cannot be found. So I would like to ask if it is also possible to exclude the file ending from the matching algorithm (i.e. if no match in the right format was found). Of course I could try to edit the m3u8 files (to change the file ending) but it's not always FLAC to opus. Some legacy stuff is also MP3 and sometimes it's not flac. So the script would start to become complicated...
  4. hi i'm just kind of at my wit's end. i paid for this music app and it can't even sort playlist tracks properly, everytime i try to re-sort by artist/album it sorts all the tracks by album but in alphabetical order rather than running order. this is a great app otherwise but it boggles me that it can't do anything this simple even though i paid for it. and before anyone says "just buy New Playlist Manager/Music Playlist Manager" i already did that and not only did it NOT work but it also deleted half of my favorite playlist! guys like forreal i'm begging someone for a solution that a) doesn't cost me more money and b) is simple to implement. literally the only reason i switched to this app in the first place is because samsung music doesn't let me have more than 1000 songs in a single playlist. someone please help
  5. Hello. I can't add more than 10 songs to my playlist and promote soundcloud. What's the problem? It shows a 500 error.
  6. Before android 13 I used to backup my playlists by drag/drop to my laptop via ftp, obviously this is no longer an option on android 13 (via ftp anyway), the playlists in total are about 7MB. I'm now using the export settings option with playlists selected but the file size is very small compared to before, so are my playlists really being exported?
  7. Hi all, One feature Poweramp could do with is a button to add music into a playlist from that playlist. I've gone through about 9 different apps and can only find Blackplayer and Spotify that offer this feature. Makes playlist management a lot easier and requires a lot less screen tapping if said button took you to a search screen where you could just select the tracks and albums you want to add into the playlist. Blackplayer view below VS...
  8. The latest release of NPM has a new cool feature. For each Poweramp playlist it shows its average rating. Also further integration with Poweramp such as playing tracks or playlist by a simple tap Out now on Google Play
  9. I have a TON of playlists, for various organizational purposes. I often play All Songs on shuffle and want to add a single song to different PLs at different times (example: newer PLs or I just want to make sure a song is in all the right PLs). I'll scroll through my long list of PLs and tick every one I want it in, just to be sure (sometimes 5+ PLs). If it's already in the right ones, I just get the "Duplicates not added" message (=some time and attention wasted). It would be so helpful to see an indicator (mark) next to each PL the song is already in. So, like the toggle marks when you long press in order to add to multiple PLs... but already populated. ...Or even some other way to see which PLs a song is already assigned to?? Cheers!. Loved this app for years...just something I've wished for a while. Organizing my eclectic 110gb (and growing) mobile audio library is a never-ending project.
  10. Hi, I created some playlists on MusicBee (m3u format) and imported them into Poweramp. MusicBee and Windows 11 recognizes all playlists with a complete list of songs. All playlists were imported into Poweramp but a few had only a couple of songs displayed and some playlists showed no songs at all. The six playlists were copied to a SD folder labeled "MusicBee Playlists" within the hierarchy of folders including the primary "Music" and sub folders for each artist. I rescanned the library and when that didn't work I did a "Full Rescan" followed by a reboot of the Android TCL 10L running Android 11. Is this a bug or did I do something wrong? What do I need to do to get Poweramp to make all songs available on the playlists? Thanks in advance.
  11. Would be great if there were a way to select all iteams between 2 iteams, akin to shift+select in Windows on PC. Like if you could long-press to select one list entry, scroll down to another entry and long-press that entry to select all entries between the two (including the latter entry), then scroll to another entry and do the same (leaving a group of entries unselected between 2 groups of selected entries) or if you were to long-press that entry (3rd one pressed) select all between it and the last manually sected iteam. Would save tones of time if this functionality could also be used to rearrange multiple playlist entries as well.
