      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It is hoped this will be ready for final beta-testing by the end of the May/early June. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Galaxy S3 SGH-I747M Android 4.4.2 Rooted Android Pattern Lock Screen If i use Poweramp's lock screen on top of my normal pattern lock screen, and i receive an SMS message notification, my screen will stay ON until my phone's battery runs out. It will NEVER allow my screen to go black again, UNLESS i push the power button to close it. Normal behavior with android lock screen only: SMS notification appears, i don't touch anything, after ~30 seconds my screen goes black again. Anyone having this bug ? Can't say if it appeared with the beta/alpha version of Poweramp because i didn't use Poweramp's lock screen before that.. (I have the full version unlocker that i paid for)
  2. Song Title and Artist should display on the notification bar as songs are changed even when not on Poweramp screen.
  3. Dear Poweramp community: I got an annoying bug on my phone related to Poweramp. I am using a Zuk Z2 Pro (Z121) with Stock ZUI 2.3.044 ST (Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow) rom (rooted) and Poweramp Alpha Version 703. My problem: If I hit the play button via Poweramp the notification gets displayed normally in the notification bar. As soon as I hit one of the buttons in the notification bar (eg next track), it loads the new song but I suddenly can't control the music anymore because the buttons get grayed out and the song tags suddenly disappear. I added a screenshot as reference. As a car phone holder user the notification bar was pretty handy for me because I could just swipe down and change tracks, but now I can't anymore... Anyone else with this problem?
  4. I'm gonna be straight to the point with this. an option for smaller album art when notification is not expanded an option for more materialistic "x" that's hidden when the notification is not expanded an option to place the "x" at the top-right corner when the notification is expanded a dark Poweramp logo when there is no album art available when notification is not expanded Thank you! 😂
  5. So I use GoodLock on my Galaxy S7 and it allows you to change the color of your notification in the drop down shade. What was cool was that I was able to have the Poweramp persistent notification match all my other notifications in colour (A dark soft crimson) and the 'Reverse notification Colour' allowed the text in the notification to be white and readable. Then I think Poweramp updated and disabled the agnostic color scheme. Now the Poweramp notification is a blinding white while my shade is a dark color. This raises my stress levels. I even tried installing old versions but for some reason the Poweramp notification stays white. I don't even know if this is the correct subforum to post this in. btw here's another thread on the requested feature: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/4ueyc4/im_using_good_lock_why_doesnt_the_poweramp/
  6. Version 703/704

Poweramp v3 (ALPHA-3 test builds 703 / 704) for standard (ARM-based) Android devices. Released: 16 April 2016 This is alpha version of upcoming major Poweramp release. Please make backup of your existing Poweramp app/settings/db before installation as you won't be able to rollback to Poweramp v2 without alpha uninstallation, causing settings to be lost. You can install it over your existing v2 installation (your purchase and settings will be carried over). At this time, only ARM processors are supported. We'll add Intel support for later beta builds. Min. supported Android: 4.1. Skins are disabled in alpha as UI is partially changed and there is no point in (re-)building skins now. Alpha-3: - added DVC support for Hi-Res Snapdragon 24-bit PCM variant (e.g. LG Gx/v10, HTC A9, etc.) - Hi-Res support for Sony Z3, Meizu 5 Pro, Lenovo Vibe X3 - Look and Feel / Status Bar/Notification / Notification Colors option to override non-standard ROM notification colors - mp3 vbr seeking improvements - 2 Hi-Res API variants (Sony Hi Res and Snapdragon 24-bit offload) for Sony Z5/P - option to always process/send album art (useful for smartwatches) - bt pause/resume polishing - scrobbling fixes, removed obsolete ScrobbleDroid support - album art downloading update - language selection fix - better current output device detection (wired headset vs bt) - other few small fixes
  7. Hi Poweramp is unquestionably the best music player app, but this has been bugging me: When there is a notification, right now the player can either pause the currently playing song (which inexplicably bothers me), or it can keep playing normally (and maybe missing the notification) A good idea would be to add an option to lower the song volume without pausing it, making it easier to hear the notification itself. Maybe add a slider to allow us to select how low the volume should get?
  8. Hello, i often use Poweramp via Bluetoothin my car. And here is my Problem: While playing music in background, i use my device as Navigation System and SpeedCamera-Warner. (CarMode is enabled) Neither the sounds from my Navigation App nor these form the Speedcamerawarner were hearable. Is there an Option to mix up these sounds into the actual playing music? My best-case-scenario: While in Car Mode music is playing, if there is an Audio event from Nav or Speed-Warner dim audio to 60 percent and play the sound. If there is an Phone-Call event just mute (as it is now) I hope due to my limited english i could point out what i am interested in... some further informations: Phone samsung GTN7000 Android 4.4 Nav: mapfactor Navigator (http://navigatorfree.mapfactor.com/de/) Speedcam: Blitzer.de Plus (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.blitzer.plus&hl=de) Thank you for your help
  9. my samsung galaxy tab s shows the song tittle not in full font. it is cut somehow. Same condition applies in both portrait and landscape mode. any help?
  10. Hello all, I just updated my HTC One M8 to lollipop(5.0.1) and Poweramp's notification controls are hard to read. I have a screenshot, but do not know how to upload it here Does any one else have this same problem, or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance -EFJ
  11. I would like Poweramp notification to be custom or skinnable, as for now on Lollipop it has white buttons on white background. See screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/sc/kcw7atili4pagfg/AADodLEAAXvBF00lN_1Sx4b_a That's why I want it to be skinnable, or just custom, like Play Music notification, which is always white on carbon gray.
  12. Hi, since there's no real music controls on lockscreen in 5.0 (only notification) it's pretty annoying how ugly is Poweramp notification when it's not expanded, especially on smaller screens. Maybe can you implement style similar to Google music which has pretty cleaver layout. Here are screens when you compare both: https://www.dropbox.com/s/f2cj538wm4f16w4/Screenshot_2015-02-04-22-25-05.png https://www.dropbox.com/s/xxa6rgo9ncr44ok/Screenshot_2015-02-04-22-25-16.png?dl=0 Google one shows way more info and is just prettier. What do you think?
  13. Hi all. One feature I've noticed shuttle+ has which is nice* is that the notification icon persists after the last track has finished, rather than immediately disappearing. I imagine many other people access PA via the notification dragdown, so at a time when one is highly likely to want to access PA, the intuitive way of doing so is not available, which is slightly confounding & annoying. Any chance we could have the default or option for a persistence, possibly for a user-definable duration if there's no android default and hence you guys have to code the time period anyway? Cheers! *sorry for comparison, I imagine it's grating for devs!
  14. Hi guys, I am a big fan of Poweramp. It was the first app I bought (I think, I was one of the first buyer) and the best since I am using Android phones. But for now I am a little bit unhappy with it. The reason: I bought my new "china phone" (iNew i6000+) one week ago. It is a very nice phone and come with Android 4.2.2. After testing few days all function seems to be work, but the reason why I am so unhappy is the view of the notification style. Because the system is using a white background for menus/bars the Poweramp notification is unreadable. So my question: How can I fix this or can you help me? (Inverse Notification Colors didn't helps much!) For example I made a screenshot and send it with this post. Greetings, CM
  15. Hi @ all, would it be possible to include an option to further customize the lockscreen and notification (like the widget menu)? I checked the search function, didn't get any hits. Since I've begun to rate my music via Poweramp (and porting it into the files when home) while commuting, I would really appreciate to modify the lockscreen and/or notification screen. Especially the lockscreen would be awesome. Some ideas: - hide randomize/loop buttons (I totally don't need these and often press them accidentally) - hide player buttons (gestures work really well, would just need a tap for play/pause) - small clock/battery indicator in upper corners Since the newer OS versions support lockscreen widgets, this request is maybe obsolete. Just an idea . Thank you for the great app and continuous support.
  16. Hi, would you kindly consider adding a new option for the Notification, which lets us hide the track number info? I'm referring to the track number which shows, for example, "9/50" on the same row as the song title, on the Notification. I'd love the (optional) ability to remove this track number info from the notification because it leaves less room for the song title (so the title is often cropped off), and because I personally don't need to see that info there in the Notification. I can view it from the main Poweramp window if I want to see which track I'm on. Thanks!
  17. Hi world, I'm curently testing Poweramp, it's really great, I was about to buy the unlocker but ... I have troubles with bluetooth streaming in my car ... here is the full story : << Sometimes, I only want to have GPS (google navigation) instructions and no music, so I put Poweramp in "pause" and navigation is running ... but each time navigation "talks", the music start/pause/stop ?!! ... very strange. >> Looks like notifications always start/stop music. Isn't it possible to pause/re-start music during notifications if ( and only if ) the muscic playback was enable before notification. If user has press the "pause" button, please don't start playing. Maybe it's a trouble with Android & Notification system, I don't know. Remarq : I'm using rooted HTC Desire (GSM) with CyanogenMod ROM (cm-7.2.0.1-bravo) I will be disapointed to cannot buy full version due to this point.
  18. Hi, In a recent update, an X button to close the player was added in the notification tray line, and to me it's useless. Currently there is an option to enable or disable the prev track button, but I don't think that's enough. It would be better to have a full options screen where we can choose which buttons to show. On a related note, in my opinion the buttons are too small. They can be made wider (and take up more space from the song text). Maybe make the button width a part of the customization dialog?
  19. I asked it one about a year ago if it's possible to add this feature (I saw it first on default music apps on touchwiz then), and Max responded that it was a feature of that particular rom and couldn't be implemented for all roms Now I see since ics Google's default music app has the play/pause and next buttons in the notification, so I thought it might be a right moment to ask for this feature again cause it seems using ics API this feature can be added for ics based rooms.
  20. Hi, Can I first just say that Poweramp was already a great app, but the recent update made it nearly perfect for my needs. It's great to be able to move away from the ipod and keep gapless payback. The Crossfade is also a great feature that I've been waiting for for quite some time. Onto the feature request: Would it be possible to create a setting that lets you set a volume that power amp fades to when you receive a notification? By which I mean that at the moment, when I receive a text message or email etc, then the volume completely fades out. Would it be possible to add a feature that lets you set it to fade to say 40% volume when the notification comes through? Thanks again for the great app and keep up the good work. -Leaping EDIT: Various spelling and grammar errors
