      Poweramp v3 Project Update   03/22/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It's not quite ready for open testing yet, and although he would like to be able to get it out by the end of the March it may just drop over into April. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Dislike a song button

Hi Team, There should be a dislike option or button for currently playing song. Once we have disliked a song it will never play automatically unless we again remove the dislike tag. Also we should be able to browse all dislike songs in library so that either we can delete them at once or selectively delete some of them.
  2. Hi Here's a suggestion for a new concept I haven't seen yet on any music player : the ability to link songs... How it would work is that a user can link two songs, and then when music is playing in shuffle mode, the player would consider these two songs as only one... For example : in the album Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay, the first track "Mylo Xyloto" is clearly made to be listened before "Hurts Like Heaven"... Listened alone it looses a lot of interest So by linking these two, even in shuffle mode, "Mylo Xyloto" would always be played right before "Hurts Like Heaven" I don't know if I explained it clearly enough ^^ To implement it would not be that revolutionary, but still it would make shuffle mode more interesting and you'd be the first ones to do it :-)
  3. Hello I just joined the forums and I was thinking about posting this feature for a while. I would love to see a setting to change the bass and treble frequencies, because some of the songs I listen to drown in the bass because the frequency is too high for my taste. I think adding the ability to change both the bass and treble frequencies would enhance the Poweramp experience even more I don't beleive this is in Poweramp unless it's really hidden, but I hope this feature gets put into Poweramp. Thanks for reading.
  4. I, like many users it seems, organize my music library through folders. My primary desktop music player/organizer, MediaMonkey, has an excellent feature where you can display all the songs contained below a folder, even if those songs are not directly contained in that folder. For example: My first folder level is sorted by gene, and after that by artist, after that by album. I would like to be able to play all the songs in my electronic genre folder, (not possible by using the library genre sort, as I have 20+ subgenre's of electronic music) instead of only being able to play one album at a time. Similarly, I would like to be able to play all the songs under an artist's folder, or any other folder that I wish, that may contain multiple subfolders. I have been a Poweramp user since I got my first android device 4 years ago. I hope others will find this as useful as I do, and that it adds value to an already outstanding product.
