  1. Hello Poweramp Community, I hope this message finds you all in good spirits. I'd like to contribute an idea that I believe could take Poweramp's capabilities to the next level. As an enthusiastic user of Poweramp and a devoted music lover, I've been thoroughly impressed by the app's features and customization options. I want to express my appreciation for the incredible work done by the Poweramp team in creating a top-tier music player app. The level of personalization and functionality has transformed my music listening experience, especially considering my collection of over 2,000 MP3 files. Following my initial email and the team's suggestion to discuss this idea on the forum, I felt this platform would be the ideal place to share my concept. While Poweramp's proficiency in recognizing and displaying album cover artwork is commendable, I have been contemplating the potential for an advanced audio file tagging solution that could harness a similar technology. After further reflection, I believe that developing a plugin for Poweramp might be a more practical and integrated approach compared to a standalone app. Here's my refined proposal: A plugin, available as a paid extension for the Poweramp music player, designed to provide an elevated audio file tagging experience. This plugin would leverage the existing innovative technology within Poweramp to automatically complete and refine missing metadata within audio files. It would be capable of intelligently identifying artist names, album titles, track numbers, and more, essentially revolutionizing how we manage and organize our music libraries. Furthermore, I envision this plugin encompassing comprehensive editing features, allowing for the enhancement of the entire audio file. This holistic approach would ensure that when I transfer songs to my computer, the files would be impeccably named and the metadata correctly tagged. This seamless integration would result in a more efficient and streamlined experience for users like me who are dedicated to maintaining organized music collections. As someone who is genuinely committed to supporting Poweramp, having invested in the Poweramp unlocker, I am more than willing to extend my support to this plugin if it were to be developed. I am confident that the Poweramp team's expertise and dedication to delivering excellence could transform this vision into reality. The introduction of such a plugin would not only elevate the music experience for enthusiasts like myself but also underscore Poweramp's commitment to enhancing our musical journeys. I want to express my gratitude for considering my suggestion. I eagerly anticipate any insights, thoughts, or feedback from both the community and the Poweramp team. Warm regards
  2. I’m running power amp in my android car radio . I never had this issue before until I got replacement radio. I have large 600gb library using external hard drive . When I shut down my vehicle while power amp plays it comes back up saying Poweramp has been killed and loses all music has to rescan large library again. Even when I close out of the app it still plays . Is there an option to get the app to stop playing when I close out of it ? I noticed if I run my radio after Poweramp that must shut it off properly and I don’t seem to have an issue or the error pop up the next time I start my vehicle . Any advice would be greatly appreciated I’ve tried and can’t find any setting to have power amp stop playing when I close out of it so that I won’t get an error message the next time . Again any help would greatly be appreciated. I enjoy this app because I have the option to run folder hierarchy the way I have it loaded in my hard drive . Thanks so much
  3. Hello all, I am very much hoping someone can help me with this problem. I'm honestly losing my mind. Poweramp Build: 925 Android Version: 7.0 Device: FiiO M11 I ditched my iPhone as a primary source of music listening about a year ago, picked up a FiiO M11, installed Poweramp, and have never been happier. Not exaggerating by saying my music listening experience is so vastly improved that it has greatly improved my life. I've experienced almost zero problems with it until recently. Recently, I added a couple of GB worth of music onto my micro-SD card (at approx. 500 MB at a time), ejected the disk from my computer, and re-inserted it into my FiiO. I turned my device back on, and everything seemed normal at first: it started scanning and eventually my library populated with all my music. But then I noticed something odd...there were random tracks missing from almost every single album I tried listening to. They had seemingly vanished. I cross-referenced with my Playlists, and the tracks were still there, but MANY of them were just a track title with "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album", with no cover art. I scrolled to Unknown Artist and found that over 10,000 tracks now resided there. I closed Poweramp, turned off my Fiio, and put the micro-SD back in my computer...the tracks were all still there, and all labeled correctly. After putting it back in my FiiO, and manually forcing a Full Rescan, my Unknown Artist tally was down to 1,064. I attempted the same maneuver, but sadly this seemed to be the lowest number I could manage. I found a simple fix, though: by long-pressing the song title, clicking "Info/Tags" and then "Edit Tags", I saw that all the correct metadata was still there, and as soon as I hit "Save", Poweramp filed the track away exactly where it belong, properly labeled with the correct cover art and everything. It's like I had to remind Poweramp of who and what each track was and it was like "Oh, yeah." It was extremely tedious doing this over 1,000 times, but it seemed to work, even after powering my device off and back on. But sadly, this fix didn't last. I just added some more music today on a NEW card, thinking that maybe having 500 GB card with only ~40 GB of space left was getting to be too much to scan every time I wanted to add a couple of albums. So I loaded about 2 GB on a fresh, brand new 256 GB micro-SD. Lo and behold, I now have over 3,000 Unknown Artist tracks, even after multiple rescans. Someone please tell me what I can do. I can't comfortably listen to any of my music knowing that there are tracks missing from almost every album I own, and I can't sit for literally hours and hours clicking through each of these tracks to right them, and especially not every time I want to add more music to my library. Thanks so much for reading all this, and for your help.
