      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  2. Before updating hi-res output works on xiaomi note 2 And it fails after updating
  3. Does Poweramp V3 support the LDAC Bluetooth codec?
  4. Hi guys, First of all thanks for the best music player on the market at this moment. Simply after the andrioid 7 update on the HTC 10, the option for the Hi-Res output in the settings has disapeared. It is a huge shame, since I only started using it few days ago, after some time because when I used it about a month ago the app would crash after song changes. It started working fine just a little issue with the output latency of about 1300-2000 ms. I really hope that this is one of the things you'll start working on. I hope i can get the Hi-Res back since it's amazing, even in the experimental alpha build. Thanks All users of HTC 10
  5. Now I'm using Poweramp V3 with aptx-HD(Bluetooth) output like below. "Smartphone (aptx-HD is activated) -> Astell&Kern AK XB10 aptx-HD Receiver -> AUX -> Car (Audi A6)" But I cannot understand how to set HI-res output setting in my case. Setting -> Audio Engine -> Output -> Hi-Res Output (Experimental) and then there is only two kinds output option (Wired Headset/AUX and USB DAC) and I cannot find Bluetooth option. Please let me know how can I use Hi-Res Output through aptx-HD(Bluetooth)
  6. So, in my audio class, i'm learning that most modern recording is done in 88.2kHz, or 176.4kHz. These are multiples of 44.1kHz, and thus cross-sampling will not occur when exporting to red-book cd format. Even on a 192kHz DAC, cross-sampling still occurs with 44.1, 88.2 and 176.4 files because 192kHz is not in the red-book cd family of sample rates (multiples of 44.1kHz). I'm almost positive that most of the recent DACs (external, and built in) out there are capable of supporting these sample rates.
  7. I have issues with high res output with my phone, when I turn on Hi-res output,It says here are some basic information: Phone: Mi5 Custom rom: MIUI8 based on Android 7.0 The latest Poweramp beta version(704).
  8. Hi, nice to see you guys here. I would like to request something about audio output. So, I am running Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Stock Android, Flash Plus 2 device, MTK Helio P10 based phone. Here is the details http://www.flash3c.com/flash-plus-2/hi-fi/ It seems that my phone can not maximize the output on Hi-Res. Even it can not detect wired headset in Hi-Res output menu (showing only USB DAC). I knew that it still experimental but some MTK phone like redmi note 4 (if I am not mistaken) can do that. So, ya it support AudioTrack / OpenSL ES output that can only provides audio 16bit 44khz max although I have 24bit 192khz music. I want to get 24bit 192khz output with experimental Hi-Res like on redmi note 4. Could you make my device compatible with Hi-Res feature on Poweramp? That should be amazing. Thank you!
  9. Hi, I just downloaded PA yesterday to give it a good once over before for consideration for purchasing it. I have an LG V10 that I love for it's hi-Rea DAC capabilities and have it loaded with hi-res FLAC and WAV files. I was happy to find out that the latest version of PA takes advantage of the phone's DAC. As I was sampling different hi-res files in my library, it soon became apparent that some songs had a substantial buzz in the left channel. It seems that this noise appears whenever my 96k/32bit wave files are playing. These are files I downloaded from artist's websites after purchasing box sets or LPs that contain hi-res download codes. All other WAV and FLAC files play fine in PA. The same 96/32 WAV files play fine in the stock LG music app and sound wonderful. I'm using PA ver 2.0.10-build-588-play LG V10 Android Version 6.0 Any help is appreciated. I would easily purchase PA if this issue is addressed. Thanks for your time. C
  10. Hi Max. I use Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910H (Exynos+wolfson dac) with Official Android 6.0.1 Marshmallows latest update October 2016 and SONY XBA A1 AP Earphone. I'm very happy with major change of Poweramp 3.0 alpha build. Overall thats great and make me want hearing music every day. But one problem for me (big problem maybe), Hi-Res Output can't be activated and knocking sound found when I force to activate Hi-Res function. I try to activate Buffer Size to 3-4 but cannot be solve the problem. How I fix that's problem or please release new update for this problem. Thank you.
