      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It is hoped this will be ready for final beta-testing by the end of the May. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. I know that playing songs from Google Play Music, Spotify, Apple Music, etc... could be difficult (or even ilegal). But Google Play Music have a 50.000 size personal songs library where you can upload your "own" songs. It would be really great to can play that songs from Poweramp. I think Poweramp is the best player, but nowadays nobody have all its songs library downloaded in the smartphone (I don't have any), we use any of that streaming services and personally that option with GPlay Music could be the perfect combination to still use Poweramp every day.
  2. Access to Google Drive?

Any plans to integrate access to online music storage folders, such as Google Drive, which may allow streaming of 24-bit files? (Assuming user has adequate bandwidth)
  3. I haven't been able to find an answer to this, so apologies if this has been addressed. Why does Poweramp need to verify my purchase through Google Play License Verification when I already have the Poweramp Unlocker installed? I found this out in a very unfortunate way and it disturbed me tremendously. I was in the middle of a trans-atlantic flight while listening to Poweramp when suddenly the music stopped and I received a pop-up message that Poweramp was not able to verify the purchase through Google Play License Verification/APM. I am sure this happened because I was in the air at 38,000 feet and I had the airplane mode turned on to disable any wifi and mobile data services. Anyway, I had the Poweramp Unlocker installed as well, so I am not sure why my license had to be verified online? I thought the purpose of the Poweramp Unlocker was to unlock Poweramp without having the need to verify a license online since I had already paid for it by buying the Unlocker? The reason why I found this most frustrating is that I no longer was able to use Poweramp for the rest of the duration of the trip because I was not able to get any mobile data service until I landed, which was about 5 hours later. I had to resort to the stock player that could not read my Poweramp playlists. I felt like I had paid for the license but was unfairly prevented from using it. So, was it something I missed in the settings to fix this? Or is there another explanation that I am aware of that justifies this? I feel that if Poweramp needs to verify a license through Google Play, that I shouldn't need to have the Unlocker installed or at the very least, it needs to warn you well ahead of time that it needs to verify a license so that someone doesn't get caught off guard and unable to verify their license for hours and therefore lose access to an app they paid for. Well, just wondering - not angry, but just frustrated that I couldn't use it when I really needed it.
  4. Hello! I buy the Poweramp this website. I like it very much Google Play auto update because all app is fresh and all new version auto install useful serive in Google Play. 5. I recall this being something that was being worked on a while back but never heard of it again. Is this something that is still being considered? Thanks!
  6. I'm using the oneplus one running cyanogenmod 11S. This includes an app called AudioFX which uses a google API to apply EQ etc. to all audio sources implementing the API. Poweramp appears to not implement the API because the AudioFX settings do not affect the output from Poweramp. The EQ etc. baked into Poweramp are excellent, however there are features in AudioFX which are not in Poweramp. These include automatically applying different audio parameters according to the output, e.g. headphone, bluetooth, speaker, etc. Either implementing the google API, or adding output-based audio settings would be EXTREMELY great. EDIT: This actually DOES work! Turn on MusicFX in the Tone/Vol menu and long press will take you straight to AudioFX.
  7. Google Search Album Art

Half the time when Download an album art it isn't the one I want and there isn't a way to earch manually. In N7 player you can do a custom Google Image search for album arts. This feature and it's creative UI are really the only thnigs N7player has over Poweramp.
  8. Hi! I have recently bought a Cowon Z2 and I am a novice with Android. For some reasons, the Cowon Z2 does not have the Android market application. And Google play does not recognise the device. That is why I have bought the Poweramp Full Version Unlocker directly on the website. Then, the unlocker was sent to me by e-mail. I have installed it on my music player (which is connected to Internet). But, the next day, the following message has appeared: "Impossibility to check the Poweramp licence" (...) "APM response - No valid google accounts." And I cannot access Poweramp anymore. When I click the "Help" button and write a message with my purchase number, all I get is : "No application can do that action." I really do not know what to do... and I am pretty desperate... Can somebody help me? Thank you in advance. Maxime
