      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It is hoped this will be ready for final beta-testing by the end of the May/early June. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. I have a Galaxy S5, and the Gear 2 Neo which has a "media controller" app and that is not working properly with Poweramp (2.0.9-build-554-play Full Version). It works great with the s5 stock music app, it shows on the gear the album art, the artist and name of song, and buttons are responsive. With Google's "Play Music" app it works similarly but just no album art. With Poweramp it doesn't even update the name of the song, and buttons work but they are not so responsive. I asked around in other forums and some people say it works for them (http://forums.androi...controller.html) so I'm confused. Is there any setting I'm missing ? Thanks
  2. I've been using power amp since i switched to android and i love it. i just recently bought a samsung galaxy gear 1 and have been pretty frustrated with the stock media controller. it is VERY basic, with the ability to pause, play next track, previous track and adjust volume, which is fine. the problem is that it doesnt display track title, album cover, or any other pertinent information. there is another good Gear app that shows this stuff but for it to work it requires that i download some shitty music player that i can't disable. Is there a chance that you could develop a companion app for the samsung gear store (different from the play store, dedicated for the samsung smartwatch collection.) that will maybe mirror the information that i have on my main app (full version). or at least an independent media controller that doesn't require the app so more people could use it? i would 100% spend the money on it.
  3. After syncing songs from my laptop, many songs are randomly disappearing from my Poweramp library. I've tried reloading multiple times but songs are still disappearing. The song files still appear in the Google Play Music app so I know they've been successfully loaded on the Sandisk micro SD my Samsung Galaxy S5. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, were you able to correct this?
  4. I had the Galaxy S3 and Poweramp worked beautifully with the stock headset/earbuds. I could do the single, double, triple click with no problem. Now I have the Galaxy S5 and I can't get the buttons to work as they did with the S3. I've even resurrected the S3 and compared those settings, line-by-line, to the S5 and they are the same. Anyone have an idea how I can get this working? Please help me...it's driving me bonkers
  5. just got the 4.4.2 update for my galaxy s3 today and now there is an audio bug. For whatever reason during the start of a new song, the volume will go waaay down. So low that it sounds like All the equalizer bars are at their lowest setting(but of course, they're not). Ive messed with all audio priority settings and tried to figure out if another app might be the cause or maybe a new setting is to blame. But nothing works and i cant make the problem happen on demand. It just randomly happens. The bugged audio will persist untill i stop the music for a while and play a different audio (usually a YouTube vid) and come back to Poweramp and hit play and audio is back to normal This has been a frustrating experience. Does anyone have a solution?
  6. Hello everyone! My Galaxy S3 vibrates with the music, the vibrator of the phone is activated by music, as if the energy that goes to the speaker went to the vibrator. The louder the music, the stronger the vibration, even with headphones. the vibrator moves with the music, example: if there is a loud boom boom of the drums, the vibrator vibrates boom boom with rythm. Anyone has the same issue? Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 Android Version 4.3 Non Rooted. Only happens with Poweramp
  7. Samsung i9003 with gingerbread hm3500 Galaxy SL listening to music using a Bluetooth headset in standby mode, the screen closes 10 sec. When I press the lock button until she stops then the music continues to play music again. Display the phonelock settings, including waiting periods and Poweramp 's play with all the settings but the result is the same one I tried. Using a different bluetooth headsets hs3000 denedimmsamsung, nokia, the result is the same in all JABRA clipper. If your music player when I turn on the phone bluetooth headset somehow works seamlessly. Poweramp waiting forhelp, please 'm licensed also installed the latest version v2.0.5-build-488 :(
  8. Howdy, how about extending (if possible to catch broadcast S-View event from Galaxy S4) Poweramp in order to show title / large cover / playtime / tracknumber etc. in the s-view window of the Galaxy S4, just like its done with the built-in music app from Samsung. That would be an awesome feature for all Samsung Galaxy S4 users with an s-view case. Thanks in advance for considering.... Cheers, Brummer

  10. I was rather looking forward to getting the new Samsung Galaxy Note, released today. As an audiophile and user of Poweramp, I am disappointed to see this thread on XDA which says that whereas the original Samsung Galaxy had the excellent Wolfson's WM8994 DAC, the later Galaxy S2 and the new Galaxy Note (the big one) now have the apparently poor performing Yamaha C1YMU823 / MC-1N2 DAC. Which left me thinking... does Poweramp actually use the built in DAC supplied with the phone, or does it do it's own DAC thing in software? Regards, John
