      Poweramp v3 Project Update   03/22/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It's not quite ready for open testing yet, and although he would like to be able to get it out by the end of the March it may just drop over into April. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. So, in my audio class, i'm learning that most modern recording is done in 88.2kHz, or 176.4kHz. These are multiples of 44.1kHz, and thus cross-sampling will not occur when exporting to red-book cd format. Even on a 192kHz DAC, cross-sampling still occurs with 44.1, 88.2 and 176.4 files because 192kHz is not in the red-book cd family of sample rates (multiples of 44.1kHz). I'm almost positive that most of the recent DACs (external, and built in) out there are capable of supporting these sample rates.
  2. I'm a big fan of Poweramp and it's genuinely made listening to music on android feel so much more controlled by me rather than by the company that made it. It reminds me a lot of the early days of winamp. I also like these forums and think it would be great if there was an off topic thread/area. I don't want to go and post random information in common talk if it's going to get in the way of app discussion.
  3. Hi, Okay, since this is off topic (as this board is intended for topics regarding the app only) I'm somewhat anxious, but hope I won't get banned for asking this. Would it be possible to reduce the minimal word length for the search function from 4 to 3 letters? The reason being: If I want to search the boards for topics that relate to certain file formats ... those mostly consist of three letters. Regards
  4. To improve the board communication: If someone posts something in a thread, he should automaticly follow it. -p-
