      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code. It is hoped this will be ready for final beta-testing by the end of the May. See forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Let's introduce the new feature - In Hand Mode!! Actually it just locks out all the buttons and switches on the screen. It is better if the physical buttons are locked as well (such as home button & lock button). This feature allows you to handle the phone without false touching when the screen is on. It will also be cool if you turn on some virtualizations. Think about that, you've got a cool virtulization and you can hold your phone with the screen is on. And your friends can see your cool animation when you play music with your Earpods... It should work really well on an OLED display phone. Also works good with a black phone.
  2. Hello guys. Im new here! First, I LOVE Poweramp! Best of all music player apps, seriously! So many great options and customizables. Its really cool! Instant buy for me! Would pay again! It even fixed my stupid turn off screen and sound problem. Sometimes when my screen went off, the music stopped too until I put it on again. Looks like it was some Sony Android Rom problem but there was a option in Tweaks to fix this lock. GREAT! Now only one problem remains for me. Sometimes, like around all 5 hours of playtime or something, the volume decreases to 50% and I get a popup with a warning about a Volume Warning and that listening to loud music can damage my ear... BLABLABLA, stop annoying me, and anyway, its not to loud on some of my headphones. This is really ANNOYING. Getting mad of it. There doesnt seem to be a inbuilt Sound option in Android to not show the warning or show it only once. Why? Seriously. Is Google really that dumb? They even seemed to inbuilt it deep into the Android system and without Rooting the device and use tools it doesnt seem to be possible to disable it. Why, for heavens sake? I dont want to root my device to disable or ignore this warning. Yes, I googled already for the problem but only found Rooting advises. I wanted to ask you if there is a way to disable/ignore it without rooting the phone. I have a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, if the info is relevant. Actually I wonder that there is no such option in Poweramp or is there and I just didnt find it? Would be nice if you guys could enlighten me. If not, I would like to request a option to disable the Volume warning or at least ignore it in Poweramp. Thanks for all replies!
  3. Not high priority, but a couple simple things that would probably make Poweramp even nicer: Maybe I'm imagining things, but aren't the small artworks on the album selection rectangular shaped? This causes most covers to looked vertically squished. Unless you guys did this intentionally, itwould probably look better square (as this is the most common dimension of covers.) On related topic: Option to disable Artist/Album Title text from that screen for those of us who recognize our covers without need for artist and album text shown below the artwork.
  4. Disable Autoplay on startup

To be clear I'm not speaking about when I plug in headphones or connect via Bluetooth etc. What I want to do is disable the player from resuming where it left off. I don't mind that it remembers the last song played and it's position but I find it annoying that it just starts playing the song by itself. Sometimes this is a nice feature but then, if it cant be turned off I would like to request that this post be moved to the Feature Request section.
  5. Hey there, i like the idea of having different shuffle-modes, but i don't need them all, so it would be nice to have an option to disable non-used modes. would be a charmer! thx
  6. Playlist

Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to disable/hide second line under the song name. I simply want it to show only song name. I have lots of song(+800), it would be cool to shorten the playlist I attached a link to show as an example. Hope you can help, thank you.
