      Poweramp v3 Project Update   04/24/2017

As you may be aware, the Poweramp developer has been working hard on an updated material design user interface for Poweramp v3 which required a full ground-up rebuild of the code and is taking some time to get to a beta-test stage. See the forum thread for more details and to discuss.

  1. Bluetooth media features in current cars... well... suck. Android Auto is Google's and Android Open Handset Alliance's attempt to create the best experience for car infotainment systems without the features becoming a distraction to driving. With the advent of the Android Auto app on the Play Store yesterday, Google has released a documentation for audio playback: https://developer.android.com/training/auto/audio/index.html I think adding this to Poweramp would be a great addition. What do others think? I personally think the Android Auto (and Apple Carplay) are hugely underrated.
  2. I bought this app today and I must say that this is probably the best android music player there is. Great job . At the moment im adding all the missing album art to my music collection. The built in search for album art works pretty good and I can get like 50-60% of the missing album art, which is great as most of my collection is pretty unknown. What I miss is an option to browse through google images and pick one manually. So what I would like to see is a small built in browser to search through google images so that you can pick images manually, if the suggested album art doesnt match. The option to edit the search terms for the album would be great too. Would love to see something like this in a future update!
  3. Hi, I am thankful to the devs for the 1.99 sale for Poweramp. It was an excellent price for the app and Poweramp is the only app which works flawlessly on my Atrix 4g on which any music player is supercrappy. This is my first purchase on android market and I am happy. A few feature requests for further versions: 1. Album art browser similar to Playerpro...only better...This will help in finding images for songs for which no images are found through ID3 tags e.g. old folk songs etc. 2. Need more themes than the default 4 available. Dear devs, do consider these requests as I found many similar echoing on the android market as well. Thanks You rock \m/
