  1. Utterly dissatisfied with this app while using it in the car. Despite being one of the best music players I've used for over eight years, when connected to Android Auto in my car, it fails to announce routes on maps. This issue is absent in other music players like Amazon Music and YouTube Music. It poses significant problems during travel as I cannot check the Android Auto screen. Even when Poweramp is not running or its service is stopped, Android Auto maps remain silent, only working after uninstalling Poweramp
  2. Hi There - Professional UX Designer for Android apps here... I KNOW that Android says that the right swipe is to go to the 'top of the stack' and NOT a back action... And all the Android docs say that right swipe when at the top of the stack means to exit the app... HOWEVER... For users it has become the defacto 'back button' on most applications. (I have tons of user testing data I can show you if you don't believe me). So it's EXTREMELY frustrating when I reach the 'top of the stack' and accidentally exit. Can you pretty please eliminate the right swipe to exit function? K thanx bye!
  3. Skip and reverse skip taps work, but play/pause tap does not work, causing music to fade briefly (.5 sec) and continue playing. Android 13
  4. Hey Max! You said that the "Hi-Res" Output of PA bypasses the Android mixer and resampling. When I'm using the Hi-Res Output for output device: Bluetooth and manually setting up Sample Rate as per audio file rate (E.g. 44.1 kHz), the PA Resampler is getting bypassed, but the Audio Info shows that the Hi-Res Output is resampled from 44.1 kHz to 96kHz. My question is how the audio is getting resampled? Is it resampling by SOC or Android mixer?
  5. Just got the app, I'm not that really familiar with EQ settings in general so if anybody could recommend me any good settings for a JBL bluetooth speaker (Flip 5) that would be appreciated! The phone I'm currently using is the OnePlus Nord N300. Thanks
  6. So I bought a android head unit from China and it seems to be denying Poweramp access to system files (both external USB and internal). When I head into Poweramp to select the music library files, it presents me with an "Enable" button for both the internal and external USB storage. When I press Enable on the internal storage, the "No activity found to handle intent" error message comes up. And when I try to press Enable on the USB device, it gives me "The folder selection system component seems to be missing/disabled/frozen on your device. Please enable the component" error. Enabling File Legacy Mode does not help and I've made sure to give Poweramp storage access. What's weird is that the head units custom built-in file explorer/manager app can view all the files just fine and play the music files through the default built-in music player. I've tried installing the Google Files app but even Google Files can't access the USB storage device (it gives me an "Access Denied" error). Obviously, there is something on the Android 11 head unit that's blocking storage access for downloaded apps. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling Poweramp and factory resetting the head unit. No luck. Does anyone have a workaround for something like this? Open to any ideas.
  7. Poweramp is reporting as not allowing app data backup in SeedVault. I know there is manual settings backups but it would be nice for this to be integrated with the native backup API so it would work with Google/SeedVault etc If further clarification needed let me know
  8. I've got fairly large fingers. So it's hard to manipulate the tiny equalizer controls on the program when I need to. On the other hand, the volume control is this big, easily controlled widget in the bottom center. So how about this? Every selection (including volume) starts as a small icon above the large controller in the bottom center. Then, when you tap one of them, it replaces whatever's in the bottom, becoming the main control. This allows people with large fingers the fine control over every function on that screen that they want.
  9. Any chance we can view the now playing list like you can in android auto in the app? I know the long way to do it (queue the playlist> manually shuffle the list> play from the top but like I said it's a long way to an option that exists already since it's available in android auto. Sorry if there is a setting to do it I missed. Thanks
  10. Hello everybody, I got a new Android phone and wasn't happy with the volume and lack of bass when running Poweramp through my car's Bluetooth audio. I've taken the following steps to improve the issue: -Disabled Absolute Volume Control in Android dev options. - Turned off EQ in Poweramp because the preamp was set to a negative value, I may play around with EQ later. -Currently have DVC turned off and Headroom gain set to zero because the default -6 db was the main factor killing my volume (would love advice on this setting). My questions: any lovers of loud bass heavy music with other suggestions on increasing volume without losing sound quality? Will my changes stay permanent or reset after updates? Why do Poweramp and Android combine forces to shush my music (ironic given the name POWER AMP)?
