  1. Hello there, Been using Poweramp for quite a while now. Loving the recent update and features. My question is on DVC and output settings. I currently use an LG V60 phone and this phone has 3D sound app similar to dolby atmos. I use it for that 3D sound effect which I prefer with music and watching videos. I have stereo expand in Poweramp at %100, I personally like that feature when listening to music. I listen to mp3 320kbs and m4a 256kbs files I always kept DVC on with previous devices, I noticed that it sounds quieter when turned off. I use AAudio output. 1. Does DVC maintain high sound quality, should I keep it on and can I use it whilst 3D sound app is on? 2. And should I continue to use AAudio output instead of other settings like Hi-res, considering I listen to standard files mp3 and m4a only. Just making sure for better listening experience. Please advise and thankyou.
  2. I am using eq, and DVC, though I am wondering if I need to then also enable the limiter. I have applied the appropriate amount of preamp (pregain), so clipping shouldn't be an issue. Should I enable the limiter as a clipping precaution or is it not needed?
  3. Hey Max! You said that the "Hi-Res" Output of PA bypasses the Android mixer and resampling. When I'm using the Hi-Res Output for output device: Bluetooth and manually setting up Sample Rate as per audio file rate (E.g. 44.1 kHz), the PA Resampler is getting bypassed, but the Audio Info shows that the Hi-Res Output is resampled from 44.1 kHz to 96kHz. My question is how the audio is getting resampled? Is it resampling by SOC or Android mixer?
  4. Checkout the attatched archieve. It contains: a logcat captured when the bug happened a spectrogram/explanation video at the same time when the bug happened a music file used recreate the bug a note on what time (internet time) the bug happened Timestamp & clock is shown in the video. Tell me if you need anything more. Also, please consider adding hi-res support for Android 12 like what we had in Android 9. Poweramp build number: build-941-bundle-play Device model: Mi 12S Ultra Android version: 12 Custom ROM name/version: MIUI 13.0.8.0(SLACNXM) Steps to reproduce: Clean install of Poweramp, play a song (particularly with medium to large volume difference in different parts of the song) and listen for the volume changes that shouldn't be there. 941-issue.zip
  5. So, I'm an audio enthusiast/musician with a few different headphones, DACs and amps. Poweramp is my main music app. But I've always been conflicted with DVC; whether I want to enable or disable it. It seems to have VERY different effects, based on my amps or headphones. For example, my 1000Xm3's sound more bassy and bloated with DVC on. I have to EQ the bass much lower. However, with a full headphone amp and DT 1990's, it sounds very 'shallow' and bright with DVC on. There's no body or bass, but detailed treble. With DVC off, it sounds fuller/more punchy, but also quite muddy. It's a drastic difference. With an underpowered amp/dac, it sounds best with DVC on. It's full and warm, with good treble. Now, there shouldn't be such a big difference. Through my PC with WinAmp, both these amps sound identical (as they should). I'm just so confused. DVC has the opposite effect with different headphones. Is it something about controlling the DAC directly?
