I have some tracks where album name and artist name is same. These are different songs and has different embedded album arts but Poweramp displays any one of the embedded album art for all songs. I've tried to give them different track numbers but no use.

I have the following: the album is "Greg Lake - The Anthology-A Musical Journey". This has songs from the various bands he was in. The album artist tag is set "Greg Lake". The artist tag is set to the original band (ELP, King Crimson, etc). Poweramp uses the artist field when a song is inserted into the library. So I end up with several different artists having the same one album - with only the songs by that artist. Is there a way to change the scanner so that there is an artist "Greg Lake" (the tagged album artist), with this album under it? TIA ken

Hello Community 👋, maybe I did not do my due diligence but I couldn't find the answer so here goes my question. I would like to have a song specific Visualizers from the Artist, like Spotify. Maybe there is a way to import them after downloading and loop them, without any dynamic effects. Thanks a lot! I would like to request that I be able to sort my playlist by artist, then album (preferably album release year) then track number. If a 3-way sort is difficult to implement, then album and track number.

Hello, I'd like to ask for a problem fix. I have couple of albums that have the same name and Poweramp seems to not differ them well. For example, Saxon's "Sacrifice" was released in 2013 (that's what metadata in audio files says) and Motörhead's "Sacrifice" was released in 1995. However, when looking at both bands' catalogues in "Artist" category, Motörhead's album appears way later than it should've been (I'm using release date order), and both album share the same covers. It also happens to different artists (Halford's/Venom's "Resurrection" for example). Is that something the app's creator could look into?

Hopefully someone can help me out here. So I have an issue with the artist Category. When I select the an artist from the category, I see 2 or more options depending on the artist, "all artist songs" or the album. Is there any way I can make it so that when I enter the selected artist, it will show every song instead of me actually having to choose to enter another menu? Its hard to explain what im trying to ask lol. Ill Use an example: If I select "King von" from the artist page, is there a way to see songs by "King Von" directly? Its an annoying task to select the artist, then the song tab. I just want the songs without having to select "all songs" I just want to see the songs upon opening selected artist. I don't want to see the different albums. Is there any way I can make this happen? I know its not even really an issue, I just have some very strong mental disabilities and I like everything in one place lol Thanks!

I've come across a weird artifact/bug concerning albums where different tracks on the album are performed by different artists and the Album Artist is a different name, say "Various Artists". If I access the album through the Album Artist category and then "Various Artists", all tracks (and the album itself, obviously) are displayed with their artist as "Various Artists", whereas if I access the same album through the Album category, the tracks now have the correct associated Artist against them; however, the Album Artist is not "Various Artists" but the Artist that happens to be assocaited with the first track (e.g. "The Definitive Burt Bacharach Songbook" is shown as being by Dusty Springfield because she performs "The Look Of Love" on track 1 - all tracks have the Album Artist tag set to "Various Artists"). iTunes supports these tags which it uses to sort Artists and Album Artists. That lets you sort an artist like "Sage Francis" by last name, under F, where he should be. So, great to have the option to use such tags for sorting.
