I'm talking about lyrics supplied by plugins. While continuously listening to a URL, the metadata changing event of the stream can be taken as a reference for track starting time, then it may be possible to show synced lyrics for streams too. Also the supplied lyrics for the previous track can be cleared and send the lyrics request broadcast for the new track(ACTION_NEED_LYRICS). I'm not sure about the reliability of this method, may be buffering, or audio processing delay could affect the reference time point and may spoil the syncing. here is a link I tested: https://stream-156.zeno.fm/agtp9c146qzuv -
What I mean was I just added lyrics+translation to a song lyrics tag with multiple lines. AIMP shows the lyrics perfectly but Poweramp just showing the first line (You can see the picts I attached). Can Poweramp add support for reading multiple lines at a time?

Right now lyrics can be fetched with a plugin only if no lyrics are presently available(or not embedded in file) for the track. Some of my music files have embedded plain lyrics and I'm unable to choose synced lyrics for them with a plugin. Also some websites put their URL or some other text in lyrics field which makes impossible to fetch lyrics with plugin. So I'm looking for a way to set prefer lyrics from a plugin.

Is there any way to edit or paste my songs lyrics directly in Power AMP? In edit tag option there is no option for "Add lyrics".

Hi everyone, As a music lover, I have been using Poweramp for quite some time now, and I must say I am quite impressed with the new lyrics feature that the app has introduced. The ability to see the lyrics of the song I am listening to in real-time is amazing, and it has made my music listening experience much more enjoyable. However, as much as I appreciate the new feature, I think there is still room for improvement. Specifically, I believe that Poweramp could benefit from an inbuilt lyrics editor. Currently, we cannot edit the lyrics information on an audio file, which means that if we have synced lyrics, we cannot paste them directly into the app. An inbuilt lyrics editor would solve this problem by allowing us to edit the lyrics directly within the app. This would make it easier to correct any errors or add missing lyrics, ensuring that the lyrics displayed are accurate and complete. Moreover, an option to upload .lrc files directly to the app would also be a useful addition. Currently, I have been creating my own .lrc files and uploading them to websites like http://www.lyricsify.com and LRC Maker (lrc-maker.github.io) While this works, it would be more convenient if we could upload the files directly to the app. In conclusion, I believe that an inbuilt lyrics editor and an option to upload .lrc files directly to the app would be valuable additions to Poweramp. These features would enhance the user experience and make the app even more useful for music lovers like myself. My phone has the feature to display lyrics in status bar with the a specific app. I just found the app that works with Spotify and anghami (another music app famous in my country) but it doesn't work with Poweramp (I have the apk and it is in this google drive link). Is it possible to check the app out and see if it can be implemented in Poweramp?

I wish we could add the song lyrics right in the tag editor, it would be much easier for people who like to organize their songs

It would be great to have lyrics (the new LRC file feature which I absolutely love) to cast on my tv along with the song, also I feel that after the LRC support update, Poweramp as an app feels complete(I absolutely love the smooth animations and the aesthetics of the LRC feature, even though unfortunately some files are not detected just because they are a couple of seconds off which is kind of annoying) the only major feature that needs an update in my opinion is the casting feature.

I hope, Poweramp developed to added plugin lyric to the their app. This feature is simple, but for me it adds up enjoyment in listening to music, where we hear while reading the lyrics. And I also recommend this website if you want to find a fairly complete lrc file from what i know. So I hope Poweramp takes this into account.

Hello everyone, I noticed several points in the application "Oto Music" I hope to add them soon, so I hope to consider these points well. The first point, which is the ability to create a lyrics file (with or without synchronization) within the application, modify it, as well as save it and download the file to keep it or share it with someone else. *At the moment, I copy the lyrics (with sync timing) ready from the Internet and insert it into the “Oto Music” app, edit it freely, save it (directly linked to the song information) and then download it, and run it on the “Poweramp” app. We want to shorten all these steps, if possible. Of course, your capabilities allow this. The second point, I also noticed when entering any album, for example, a group of songs are listed, at the bottom, there is an aesthetic touch, which is putting information about this album, as in the "Spotify" app. (This information is imported from the Internet) The last point, please review the main interface, you will find it in the "Oto Music" app that has many aesthetic touches, and is very similar to those in "Spotify" app, please see it yourself and evaluate it. Dear Poweramp Music Player Forum, I am writing to report a bug that I encountered while using the Poweramp music player on my Android 12 device. I downloaded songs from Deezer and noticed that the full lyrics of the song appear on a single screen, but they are not synced with the time of the song. Despite playing the song, the lyrics don't scroll with the progress of the music. This makes it difficult to follow the lyrics while listening to the song. I am using the latest version of Poweramp available. I kindly request that you look into this issue and provide a fix for it. Let me know if you need any further information or if I can be of assistance in any way. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The new lyrics update can read the LYRICS vorbis tag that is embedded in a file, but doesn't show lyrics from the more common UNSYNCEDLYRICS tag (for .flac files anyways). -
Hope we can expect to insert or download .lrc files for synchronized lyrics to our music files in the future. Manually or in 3rd party apps. It is best for karaoke or carpool with friends and family. Been using the app for almost a decade. Best music player ever. More power to Poweramp team and looking forward to it.

Cannot recognize Chinese and Japanese song lyrics

I can only see garbled text when reading a local LRC file, with only English characters showing correctly. Is this an issue with the LRC encoding or is it currently not supported?

The 948 build was recently released with extended lyrics support. Thank you Maxmp for making the best music player even better. I would like to have a search filter and a library category to find tracks without lyrics/with lyrics/with synced lyrics.

Since few versions (also on my One Plus 5) the Genius lyrics app wasn't detected anymore but the Google lyrics show up. At the moment I've a Pixel 7. Hello, developer Poweramp has been used for a long time. There is no doubt that it is an excellent music player. But in the use of the process, or will encounter some inconvenience, especially when sharing songs with people need to view the lyrics. After observing and experiencing the operation logic of the software, I think we can make another Lyric playing interface. Slide the picture from the play interface to enter and start. This can simplify the operation logic of viewing lyrics, and it would be even better if it could support synchronized scrolling of lyrics. I sincerely hope you can consider it. -
It sounds like @maxmp will give lyrics a bit of attention in one of the coming bigger releases, so please consider the following. The current Lyrics display window has a "SEARCH" button, which could be improved, as of today if I hit "SEARCH", I'm presented with "Mi Browser" and "More". Hitting "More" will add "Google". What I would propose is to replace "SEARCH" by "SWITCH" and this would pop up a list of available lyrics providers such as: Embedded unsynced lyrics Embedded synced lyrics .lrc file Google search ...

I am a die hard user of this app, since 5 years, I am using the black player also, since it lacks the audio control feature and the ability to play high res formats. I want a native lyrics player like this app. many songs do not have the lyrics embeded into it. if i select music match or quick lyrics they post tons of add, which spoils the listening experience. I am a language learner , i listen songs in my targeted language and i repeat them many times to practice vocabulary. A native lyrics player is very useful for many like me. the option is like copy pasting the lyrics into a song. it no needs to be synched. i also provide a link at the bottom which other apps do. please make this option developed, it will be so useful. thanks, expecting an positive feedback. http://forum.flymeos.com/thread-28218-1-1.html please visit the link , and make an option like this

Requesting support for showing lyrics with Line Time Tags from [LYRICS / SYNCEDLYRICS / UNSYNCEDLYRICS] tags. Poweramp can show the lyrics with line time tags, (first image) but does not support recognizing them, unlike the one from Blackplayer for example (second image) where the lyrics are synced and shown accordingly, which is the only feature stopping me from using Poweramp aside from Android Auto support.

The Poweramp doesn't support sorting songs by Chinese pinyin until now, so that all Chinese songs are classified in # and are random, which makes Chinese users difficult to find a song. Therefore, could you please make Poweramp have the option to sort by Chinese? Thanks! What's more, I think if the LRC lyrics can scroll automatically, it will be better than view as a text. Could you please improve the experience of viewing lyrics? -
Most of my music in my libraries are either embedded or having an LRC file, I hope the developers can implement changes for lyrics to be displayed... The current design is fantastic but lyrics, I just want to see lyrics
