  1. I would like to have the Dynamic playlist feature in Poweramp, that I really miss after migrated from Rocket Player. Dynamic Playlists consists of user defined criterias based on the tag values and other properties. A simple example is: year ≥ 2020 AND genre=pop AND genre ≠ hiphop SORT BY recently-added LIMIT BY 50 This feature help us to automatically update the playlist when adding new songs to the local library. Rocket Player has implemented this feature very well.
  2. In 'recently added' I do not see the songs I download, but only a very long list of opus files (they're whatsapp vocal) that last about less than a minute ... despite having enabled the option 'ignore tracks shorter than 60 seconds' in the library settings. I didn't experience this months ago. What should I change in the settings? I am using the pro version of the application.
  3. Hello all, I am very much hoping someone can help me with this problem. I'm honestly losing my mind. Poweramp Build: 925 Android Version: 7.0 Device: FiiO M11 I ditched my iPhone as a primary source of music listening about a year ago, picked up a FiiO M11, installed Poweramp, and have never been happier. Not exaggerating by saying my music listening experience is so vastly improved that it has greatly improved my life. I've experienced almost zero problems with it until recently. Recently, I added a couple of GB worth of music onto my micro-SD card (at approx. 500 MB at a time), ejected the disk from my computer, and re-inserted it into my FiiO. I turned my device back on, and everything seemed normal at first: it started scanning and eventually my library populated with all my music. But then I noticed something odd...there were random tracks missing from almost every single album I tried listening to. They had seemingly vanished. I cross-referenced with my Playlists, and the tracks were still there, but MANY of them were just a track title with "Unknown Artist" and "Unknown Album", with no cover art. I scrolled to Unknown Artist and found that over 10,000 tracks now resided there. I closed Poweramp, turned off my Fiio, and put the micro-SD back in my computer...the tracks were all still there, and all labeled correctly. After putting it back in my FiiO, and manually forcing a Full Rescan, my Unknown Artist tally was down to 1,064. I attempted the same maneuver, but sadly this seemed to be the lowest number I could manage. I found a simple fix, though: by long-pressing the song title, clicking "Info/Tags" and then "Edit Tags", I saw that all the correct metadata was still there, and as soon as I hit "Save", Poweramp filed the track away exactly where it belong, properly labeled with the correct cover art and everything. It's like I had to remind Poweramp of who and what each track was and it was like "Oh, yeah." It was extremely tedious doing this over 1,000 times, but it seemed to work, even after powering my device off and back on. But sadly, this fix didn't last. I just added some more music today on a NEW card, thinking that maybe having 500 GB card with only ~40 GB of space left was getting to be too much to scan every time I wanted to add a couple of albums. So I loaded about 2 GB on a fresh, brand new 256 GB micro-SD. Lo and behold, I now have over 3,000 Unknown Artist tracks, even after multiple rescans. Someone please tell me what I can do. I can't comfortably listen to any of my music knowing that there are tracks missing from almost every album I own, and I can't sit for literally hours and hours clicking through each of these tracks to right them, and especially not every time I want to add more music to my library. Thanks so much for reading all this, and for your help.
  4. Would be great if there were a way to select all iteams between 2 iteams, akin to shift+select in Windows on PC. Like if you could long-press to select one list entry, scroll down to another entry and long-press that entry to select all entries between the two (including the latter entry), then scroll to another entry and do the same (leaving a group of entries unselected between 2 groups of selected entries) or if you were to long-press that entry (3rd one pressed) select all between it and the last manually sected iteam. Would save tones of time if this functionality could also be used to rearrange multiple playlist entries as well.
  5. I have many mixtape playlists, therefore there are many artists in my library that have only one or two songs. I'd like to have a way to filter those out from the artist view (maybe with a configurable threshold). I can imagine that there would also be a use for a similar filter in the album view. There has been a topic about this from a few years back, but it is archived by now with no clear statement on the status. It would be great if a feature like this could be implemented
  6. Is there anyway yall could add producer tags in metadata? I've been using the composer tag to substitute but just wondering if it's possible to have a producer tag in Metadata in the future.
  7. With disk and other storage space plentiful and cheap, I decided to switch to a lossless audio format for all of my future ripping and downloads, and picked FLAC. (You're welcome to knock my choice if you want, but that's not the reason for this note.) Background info: I'm ripping CDs on a Win 7 machine and uploading to a Samsung Galaxy S3 (for now; the point is to have a file format that I can keep around for years and be able to play on just about any machine, now and in future). The Galaxy S3 is the Poweramp machine that's giving me trouble. I'm running V2.0.9, build 534, in paid mode. I downloaded dBpoweramp to create the FLAC files, ripped a Vivaldi CD, and uploaded to the S3. Poweramp refused to recognize the album or tracks, even though it has no trouble recognizing MP3 albums and displaying them in its library as soon as I transfer them. However, when I located the files in a file browser on the S3 and clicked on a track, the file browser offered to let me open the track in Poweramp (and five other players, of course) so I did, and Poweramp played the track just fine. Also, when I clicked on the Poweramp menu and then on Info/Tags, Poweramp displayed full metadata including the album name that it refuses to bring into its library even after multiple scans and full rescans. After some experimenting around, I discovered that I could get Poweramp to bring my FLAC album into its library list by going to the Android application manager, deleting ALL of Poweramp's data, and re-building my library listing (not the audio files) from scratch. (No, Poweramp's re-scan did NOT work.) You might think that, with one FLAC album now in my library, I wouldn't have the same trouble bringing in another one, but No, a second album didn't incorporate into the library until I did the Android application-lobotomy trick again. So, I can now build and use a library of FLAC albums but only at the cost of re-setting all of my options by hand after every addition. Yucko. One last thing to note: I use the Windows file browser to drag-n-drop the album (directory) from the PC to the S3. When I transfer the MP3 album, it just goes, but when I transfer the FLAC album, it asks me if I want to convert all of the files since my phone won't play FLAC files. (Well, it wouldn't if I didn't have Poweramp, but the transfer facility is kind of dumb.) So I say No, Don't Convert and it (presumably) transfers all of the files intact. The Poweramp metadata display confirms that they're FLACs, but if the transfer facility is also doing something to set the album up for cataloguing, it would be happening for the MP3s but not for the FLACs. So - Have I discovered a bug, or did I overlook some simple setting that would let those FLAC albums slither into my library without getting hung up? Is anyone else out there using FLAC files with a Galaxy S3, with or without trouble? Suggestions appreciated. Thanks! -- Glimmersdad
